I go to this Planet Fitness mainly because it's the closest gym to my house, just a couple miles away. It's convenient, and that's the main reason I keep coming back. The gym itself is a bit older and smaller than some of the newer locations. It gets very busy in the late afternoon and evening, especially after work. That said, they still have a decent amount of equipment, so you can usually get a full workout in--it just takes a little more patience during peak hours. The biggest issue here is the men's bathroom. It's consistently dirty every time I've been in, which is disappointing. On top of that, whoever installed the hand dryer clearly wasn't thinking it through. It's mounted only about six inches above the counter, so your hands end up touching the counter while you're drying them, which is pretty gross. Overall, it's a functional gym that gets the job done, especially if proximity matters. It could use some updates and better attention to cleanliness, but it's not a bad place to work out if you go in knowing what to expect. read more

They have excuse after excuse for why. everything from "I don't see it cancelled" to "it's cancelled and won't charge next month" to "it needs to be cancelled in writing" "it's not a charge from us" " this acct was transferred to another facility but we can't tell you where" and today it was "someone else has used the acct info but we don't know where so we can't help you" if, for some crazy reason, you decide to sign up, don't use direct payment from a bank acct (ACH) because you could be paying long after you leave. read more

My brother has been incarcerated for a number of months, and even though we've called multiple times, and walked in to physically hand in a letter, they keep taking money out of the account. Called today... and we were told that someone else had information for his account and signed up in another state. Wtf? We called Wisconsin where he lives now, and they had no evidence at all of him ever visiting one there. They just will keep taking your money, regardless and really don't give a shit. Please don't go to these things, they just care about money. Manager was very rude to my elderly mother. Raised his voice at her and treated her like she was stupid. I've worked out for over 20 years. And never made a review before of a gym, but there's a male personal trainer here who is really mean. I have watched him yell at multiple members on multiple occasions. He has long hair that he typically wears in a braid. I watched him yell at a man who accidentally did a pull-down too loud. And also at a woman who accidentally almost bumped into him while walking. I've never taken a session with him but I definitely avoid him at all costs! I have been going to this gym for several years. It is always clean and well maintained with friendly staff and a good selection of equipment. And it definitely is reasonably priced. The only minor negative is that I wish there was a bit more floor space to do free weight exercises, stretches, planks, etc. Very good choice for a gym overall. read more

Since my last review, I am no longer using this facility. This is due to homeless people using the gym for the showers. The last thing I want to see before I work out is a naked homeless woman sitting butt naked on the benches in the locker room. Let alone, having to listen to the same homeless woman masterbate in the shower while I am getting ready to work in the changing stall. This should never be allowed, and there were complaints and discussion with staff at the facility BEFORE I had to listen to her pleasure herself in the shower. I normally work out at a different location. I have been coming to this particular gum as it's in the middle of where I live and a friend's house. The gym is clean, the staff is helpful. However, 90 percent of the women who are here are half-naked. I'm not sure if this is due to being close to the university but I know many who have joined this gym instead of other gyms to get away from the meat market. I'm in decent shape but I do feel for those who aren't and just want a safe judgment-free place to work out. read more

I have been a member of this location for years. I liked the 24 hour schedule and it's what drew me to the location. I work nights so having the option to go on my Saturday "afternoon" (2am) was nice. I know many things have stopped the 24hr service since Covid and it just sucks for us nurses and such that look for a healthy place to go during our free time. Place has always been clean. Always a machine or two out of order, but enough you can still do a routine without major setbacks. read more

Just scouted this location. There is a great variety of machines and it's impressively spacious, quite clean, very nice. However, max dumbbell in their free weight section is only 65 lbs. I know some PFs have barbells and dumbbells up to 100 lbs, but this is not one of them, in case this info is helpful to anyone. read more

I went to PF from 2016 until Covid times 2020. I attempted canceling my membership in April but the physical place was closed and customer service was saying I had to talk to the club and their emails had no indication of HOW to cancel. I removed my payment info because there was no other way to cancel at the time. Now I got to EOS and have been for two years but it's so busy and PF was almost always empty when i would go later at night so I tried logging into my account to see about renewing to find that I owed like $81.23. I called the club to dispute it because I have tried canceling via phone and email (almost THREE years ago). The staff told me basically if I can show an email they could alter to half the dues owed. What really makes me so annoyed is the fact I never ONCE got an email or letter about my billing/past due balance AT ALL, also why keep charging an account that already has a past due balance? I had no idea I was still getting charged for something I wasn't even using since they never sent and email or mailer otherwise I would've immediately called to cancel (again). To top it off the employee told me my account was actually cancelled to due being sent to collections. Not only did they not notify me of this action but this company does not care about having business that they'll easily send someone to collections over $80 and potentially ruin peoples credit? Like not even a call or email which they have my info. Absolutely insane - I will be sticking to EOS. read more

This gym is long over due for a review. I have been coming here for a while now. I will say I love coming here. The staff is always friendly and professional. The machines are always in good working order too. Sometimes you will have a machine down, but I understand there are policies for this company that have to be followed to get something repaired. I like the cleaning stations through out the gym too and the members for the most part seem to wipe the equipment down after use for the most part. They only allow one massage chair to be used at at time right now. Which is no big deal. I have only had to wait maybe two times over the last month. I like this gym and it will work for me to get back into competition shape. read more

My friend and I come here to work out at least two times a week, and we've never had any issues. I like that the staff are friendly enough to ask for help, and that the equipment is clean. The space isn't huge so when it's busy it's hard to find wha you'd like to do. We both recently tried the 30 minute full body workout and loved it, definitely challenging but it's nice to be in an environment where everyone is there for the same reason and you feel like everyone is respectful of each other. The "no commitment" advertising is extremely misleading. I've been unable to cancel for months. They did not even change their "in person" cancelation policy for covid. PF is just like every other gym that will rope you in and overcharge you at every opportunity without the nice amenities. The gym itself has very few free weights. He has a terrible attitude, doesn't like to answer questions, treats you like you're dumb for even asking anything, and hangs up on you if you call the gym looking for answers. He should never have left his sorority, and needs therapy badly before interacting with people. If you have the option of going to another gym, do. Not worth it. PF likes to hire teenage boys with an attitude problem. Combine that with suspicious and confusing billing practices, and it's a hot unworthy mess. read more

I have grown to really like this place. Once I lost my wallet and they returned it with all the money inside. And a few weeks ago I lost my keys on the leg press and the girl at the front desk not only knew who I was but also got them back to me. I call that going above and beyond. True this isn't an old school gym with lots of weights. It's clean and has plenty of cardio equipment. I realize as I'm getting older that this gym is a better fit for me. My wife upgraded my membership to the black card. I enjoy that extra room with the hydro massage and tanning. Sometimes I'll sit on the couch in there and use my computer for a while because I find it relaxing. Usually when I go I use the circuit. I like that it gets my heart rate up. read more

This place is near ASU. Heavy student traffic. But with all the traffic they keep it up really nice and clean. I've come during the evening and the middle of the night. The beauty angel and the tanning bed areas are nice and clean. It's a big area. I like it, but I don't usually show up in prime time. AND.... ALL THEIR TV CHANNELS WORK. Nice to see they have all the flavors up and working.... im glad to see they have choices for everyone. And if I don't want to watch the news, I can always watch my Netflix's on my phone. Ridiculous. I have tried to cancel my membership four times and have gotten the run around every time. Nobody, especially management knows what they're doing. I'll try to make it quick. I called to cancel, was given an email because apparently they couldn't cancel in store.....when I sent a formal email to cancel my membership it took two days to get an automated message (that wasn't even gmail) that said "the message never delivered" so I called PF again....told them the email address to confirm and they were basically like yeah! it does that sometimes! They're purposely giving out that email because they know it doesn't work. So apparently now they're able to cancel my membership in store? Great! On the app my membership isn't active, so it seemed to work.....except a week later I'm charged for my monthly membership. I call again, the employee is very nice very professional, but I ask for the manager and the manager won't even talk to me.....they talk through the employee even though they were right there and available. Now that's very unprofessional. I get the run around again "did you use the email?" "Oh it takes a week to process" "I can't do anything on my end" and so on. At the end of the call the employee straight up tells me to dispute the charge with my bank and so I do! AND I put a block on planet fitness. I get a refund, good again. Until the next week when I'm changed AGAIN. I call again, they confirm my membership was cancelled and I shouldn't be changed. They said I'd get a refund from them because apparently they can do that now too? So many things they "couldn't do" and suddenly it's possible. It's been a week and I still haven't seen my refund. Not only that, but now planet fitness won't stop harassing me with calls and e-mails asking for another form of payment? This is insane, and so irritating. Everyone there needs to be trained on how to handle these situations the FIRST time. They need a better system. Very nice planet fitness with a variety of equipment and incredibly friendly staff. Although the gym isn't open 24 hours, their hours are better (open earlier and layer) than other gyms nearby. With that being said , the parking lot can be dicey and sometimes there are homeless people in the locker room. The most disappointing part for me is there is a max weights on the dumbbells and the circuit machines- other planet fitnesses in the area are not like that; I'm not sure if that is due to this being an older location, but it is a huge deterrent -apparently you can't be "too fit" for planet fitness. read more

I walked into this Planet Fitness and was impressed with what I saw. Rows upon rows of cardio machines, various weight machines, free weights, all brand spankin' new. There are 2 different memberships, both very reasonable and lower than the cost of a typical gym membership. The basic one gives you access to only your "home" gym, while the upgraded membership gives you access to all the gyms nationwide, and various freebies such as unlimited tanning and hydromassage. There are various disinfectant stations nicely spread throughout the gym to clean the machines, and each area is spread out by function (Cardio, free weights, weight machines separated by muscle group). The vibe here is friendly, with an emphasis on a non-intimidating environment. The best part of the membership is that this location at least is open 24/7! read more

Planet fitness is a mellow workout gym. No hassle or grunting. which I like. I enjoy the gym. Few things I personally find irritating. When it's not the water dispenser is not working, it's the massage chairs. Not only do they break often but take weeks to repair. Last one is the Summer Teen Program. I get it. You want to give to the kids and in return get more business. The thing that bothers me is that the gym gets packed with all these kids, and us paying people can't use any machine. How is that good for paying customers? Can't Planet Fitness make a schedule for these teens and maybe us paying customers can get a heads up? I've been coming to this location for about 3-4 months, and the place is conveniently close to home, it's open 24hours a day so I definitely like that. Equipment for the most works properly. On the down side, they have by far the worst customer service. When I signed up they mistakenly opened up two accounts for me, so off the back I was getting double charged. It was a technical problem which I understood. They explained how they fixed it, but they didn't. So there I am still having two pay twice. With no one even trying to help me get it back. Till this day I have not been able to redeem my money. There's never a manger to talk to. When I asked an employee working nights if he can leave my information so a manager can contact me, he said he couldn't. Which is ridiculous.
