Today I decided to treat myself and hit the hot and cold food counter at Earth. With only vegan/vegetarian foods on offer, I knew the options would be chemical free. The cold food buffet consisted of a mighty selection of tasty looking salad options. For £5.90 I got the large tub and had a bit of everything. As I turned to walk away I couldn't help notice the delightful vegan lasagne. Another £5.90 lighter I had a huge wedge of hot Italian goodness too. The food was enough for two and absolutely delicious. I am a huge carnivore and will openly admit I was amazed at how tasty the vegan lasagne was. The fresh salad complimented the hot dish perfectly. I was a happy boy. Earth Natural Foods on a whole is a fantastic shop if you are wanting to live a chemical free, organic life. It is obviously more expensive than your high street chain supermarkets, but remember, you are what you eat.

Earth Natural Foods is the only place that comes reasonably close to the previously-mentioned mecca: when you walk in you already feel like a healthier person just by breathing in the organically-saturated air. This then always inspires me to become a better person and live a more healthy life-style. Despite a wide variety of food offerings, I usually restrict myself to the bulk-section as this is what I really can't get anywhere else. It is here where I can mix and match my own müsli, my own trail mix and it is also here where I can buy linseeds and sesame seeds in quantities that are more fitting to my consumption. Also, they have a nice selection of Weleda products, which are always a nice treat when you feel like you need a little spa treatment at home.

Peppercorns has so much under one roof, I don't know how they do it! So don't be turned away by it's itty bitty size, there is actually quite a lot in store! Everything is crammed to the ceilings with lots of options and choices. Wonderful baked goods, teas, cereals, vitamins, and lots of great refrigerated and frozen treats as well. They also have the best veggie burger selection I've seen in the city! If you are veggie, vegan, gluten-free, or simply health conscious, Peppercorns is your place. I could spend forever in this little shop just getting my granola on. Ah, Peppercorns, I love you.

They also have message chairs downstairs and offer a 5 minute taster. I will also say that this shop has a largish selection of beauty products downstairs like Jason and Green People. I would come here again and buy my favourite soymilk on their sale display. I don't know why I don't love this store. Maybe I should try their pollen drink called Winter Anecdote.

I always get a crepe and a smoothie soooo delicious! The savoury crepe with mozzarella and pesto is to-die-for. It makes me smile when I walk past it as it's the best independent cafe in West Hampstead and really friendly. In fact, I want to go now!

Maybe this was a discriminatory action against me for wearing a Palestinian Keffieh (scarf). I complained and directly said to her that she was not being helpful, to say the least. Customers should never be treated the way I was treated today, not sure what was her reason for relentlessly rude and even left me alone when some else arrived in the shop. She made a point of not only ignoring me, but being super rude and unkind. She was there alone this afternoon. I should not have been put through this upsetting situation, however reasons she had to be so utterly unprofessional.

The signifigant thing about this store is the Health Food books near the register. You can find a holistic guide to just about anything.

The shopkeepers are just lovely; the kindly sort who make genuine small talk and know their regular customers very well. The only drawback to shopping here is, not surprisingly, the high prices. Even on the most basic of goods you definitely pay a premium for the privilege of purchasing it here. But, I mean, this *is* Primrose Hill.

Unusual to review a chemist, but this is a chemist with a difference. They sell fake meat…read moresandwiches, so I always pop in for a cream cheese BLT on my way to the Heath. They are also an alternative remedies store, and health foods shop. A holistic chemist, if you like. And they always say goodbye when you leave. The sandwiches are my main reason for going there. They do fake chicken buns and vegan afalfa and humous sandwiches. And chocolate soya milk. There is also one near Warren Street tube.

With a soft drink, £9.75 which isn't too bad for London. We sat outside and are thankful one of the staff shooed away some they couple who had sat at our table bc we didn't put our stuff down right away. Otherwise the attitude was typically London- not very cheery or smiling.
