You can't go wrong with Planet Sub in Lawrence. It was started there and the sandwiches are great! The service is always good, and pretty quick. It's what you'd expect for a sandwich shop, but I think it's far superior to any national chain. I love that they have expanded to other cities (the original in Lawrence is called Yellow Sub). Quick and yummy! I usually order online for pickup and my sandwich(es) are always ready within 15 minutes. I'm a creature have habit and tend to rotate between two sandwiches (the planet sub and the Tijuana taxi). The bread is always fresh and toppings are good as well. read more

I had come here a while back for the LAST time because although they had been WONDERFUL previously THIS time was TERRIBLE!!! I use to like this place. The service was quick and workers were very nice and friendly .Place was clean clean. The food was not good. The bacon I would consider raw ,the bread no taste. They were definitely not busy. I will add this...I have found since the COVID shut down ,food is just not the same quality it once was. All Sammies are hot and made to order on fresh wheat bread. Word to the wise - a 1/2 will leave you more than full the regular is enough to feed 2 people. We had the cheesesteak - which is a mixture of steak, onions and peppers with cheese. If you don't want the onions I would say take a hard pass because they will just make you a roast beef sandwich. We also had the chicken sand which with jalapeños, cream cheese and other stuff. A whole lot of goodness and screaming of heartburn later (all worth it). I don't think any of the sandwiches would be bad, just another sandwich shop to add to the selection. read more

Fantastic Sandwiches from rude people! When I come here, I wonder who's the customer. This location doesn't honor the points program. Also, prepared ahead or plan on waiting 20 minutes or so for you sandwiches. This would be a 5 star review if employees said "hello" or "thank you". read more

I went to the Planet Sub in Emporia at 7:35 pm. Even though the restaurant's posted hours stated they closed at 8:00 pm, they refused to serve me, because they were about to close and apparently did not want to make any more sandwiches. It was extremely unprofessional read more

Always a great sub sandwich. They will make it any way you want it; as sandwich, lettuce wrap or tortilla wrap. Today I enjoyed the buffalo chicken with ranch dressing as a tortilla wrap. It was perfect as a light lunch with baked chips and a drink. read more

Good food, as I've found with the three other Planet Subs I've been to (the original Yello Sub in Lawrence, and two Planet Subs in KC). I got a pesto bello, my old standby, and it was hot and melty and good as ever. *However,* three non-modified half sandwiches for takeout took 40 MINUTES to prepare. And service was incredibly slow for everyone, not just us. Far too long of a wait time for takeout. read more

OMG!! First time ever at a Planet Sub. Where have they been all my life. Had the Planet Sub. Fresh, awesome tasting bread. Meat, veggies and condiments were plentiful and great tasting. There is nothing special about the sandwiches. For 9.75 it's not worth the price. Just go across the street to Walmart there is a subway in there and you will be more satisfied. For 9.75 you don't even get a drink a drink is extra. read more
