Let's address the unprofessional conduct of one of your officers arriving at a MVA yesterday…read moreevening at the intersection of Roosevelt road and President Street. I was on scene when the above accident occurred and immediately pulled into the gas station and was informed that emergency personnel were contacted. I then proceeded to help secure the scene until emergency personnel arrived and verifying their were no serious injuries involved. I pulled into the adjacent bank parking lot and went to the intersection and still observed no emergency personnel. I then assisted in clearing some of the waiting traffic at the intersection until I heard sirens of emergency personnel approaching from both the south, fire/ambulance and west police. I proceeded to stop all pending traffic in all directions because of emergency traffic approaching from multiple directions and didn't want any vehicles entering the intersection. After assuring police and fire/ambulance personnel got positioned. I moved myself out of the way when I was aggressively approached by a Wheaton police officer demanding i get off the street out of the investigation blah blah blah. I then got on the sidewalk and again he started getting aggressive with his demeanor with me telling me to leave even though I was definitely far enough and in no way interfering with his non investigating investigation as the injured parties were conversing with medical staff. As he was not happy with my location he ILLEGALLY RAN MY CAR PLATES THAT WERE PARKED IN A PRIVATE LOT. I was on private property now. 2 other officers came over and I spoke of my displeasure and his I feel gestapo tactics when I was out there on scene making sure him and all his emergency personnel got to the scene safely. Only reason for the 2 stars was the 2 other officers that spoke with me at my car otherwise it would be 0 stars.

After dealing with officer Lewis I'm glad I will probably never see him again. I was shopping at TJ Maxx and came out to his flashing lights. The woman said your car door hit mine. The officer said there was my color paint on her car even though my car had no paint loss. Officer Lewis said we were guilty and he would testify against me in court. As it turns out this woman coincidentally has a family member in a body shop that they have to get the work done there. We paid out of pocket to keep our insurance rates down. $1000 later we settled the claim Smells like a scam to me. But you can bet next time I'm in Bloomingdale if the car next to me has any marks I'm moving my car.

This police department is a scam. Officers sit out and pull over a dozen vehicles that weren't…read morespeeding, they scare your kids, then write a speeding ticket not listening to a thing you say. Not listening to you pointing at your trip mph that literally shows your recent speeds. Their BUSINESS MODEL is just to send a dozen people a day to traffic court next door. They don't even show up. They know it's all bull sh!t. Then you pay either $500 for an attorney or $500 for court supervision for 3 months. That's how sad the police are these days. It's It's their job to keep this neighborhood safe....and they do a GREAT job. For the person/persons who complain about Burr Ridge Police and or Burr Ridge residents my guess is that you feel the laws were not made for you but instead for everyone else. So he basically "tailed" me for four miles. Then he decided he was going to pull me over. So I pull over and get all my paper work ready. He takes forever to walk up and then he said" Do you know why I pulled you over?" I replied, "No". Then the officer said "well I got you going forty in a 30". He asked if I had seen him following me for so long. I replied with no inference"no, not really, I don't really pay attention to what"s going on behind me". I could see he was taken a back from my comment. It wasn't the truth at all. I saw him pull out from the same filling station four miles back and watched as he tailed us all the way. Of course I saw you, it would have near impossible to see such a garrish municipal vehicle behind me. Before he takes my driver's license back to his squad car he asks "why do you have car plates on a truck?" I told him that's the way i got them from the Secretary of A State and he would have to take it up with them. Then he goes back to his car and in two minutes there are two more squad cars pull up! Like it's some high crime. Five minutes later he comes back with a warning ticket. Which is just fine by me. In the end he turns out to be a fairly decent cop. It got me thinking though. I mean three squad cars responding to one traffic stop amongst the palacial estates of Burr Ridge. What other heinous crimes were probably perputrated during this time span? Surely some unruly teenagers riding skateboards in a strip mall parking lot, a defective home alarm, some one burning leaves, some under age drinking in a private residence, etc. All the ehinous acts probably went unpunished because of the priority of the black pick up truck. FVCK YOU Burr Ridge, and anyone that looks like you. I hate your bullshit town anyway. Crap ass suburb, you people ain't worth the gun powder to blow you to hell. A town full of semi-rich a$$holes that make more in one year than I do in three years, and you want my money for a ticket. Piss off. Just for that the next suburbanite I meet who's looking for directions is getting bricked!
