My 2.5 yr old in the class with Mrs Stephanie and Mrs Sandra, was assaulted and left with four finger prints, welts and a bleeding imprint of an adults nail in his neck. His best assertation to what happened (very well spoken almost 3yr old) was the teacher did it. When asked how it happened, he said he was being "mean" and the teacher went like this (motioning someone snatching his neck) When I picked him up, he normally runs over to me happy.... NOT ON AUG 2 2022. HE INSTANTLY started bawling when he saw me, and when I picked him up I asked Mrs Sandra what happened... Her story was he had been scratching his neck all day and she tried to wipe it. (I INSTANTLY DIDNT BELIEVE THAT STORY AS I HAVE SEEN HER BE ROUGH WITH HIM OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS ON CAMERA AND I KNOW MY SON DOESNT SCRATCH HIS NECK TILL IT BLEEDS) Then I asked Mrs Stephanie, his head teacher, and her story was he fell in the bathroom with some boys rough playing earlier in the day (MIND YOU THAT IS BS AS THE WELTS AND SWELLING SUBSIDED AROUND 7pm SO YOU KNOW IT WAS FRESH FROM 4:30-5:10 BEFORE PICKUP) NEITHER TEACHER REPORTED ANY INJURIES TO ADMIN OR PARENT. I then came in AUG 3, to talk with JODY MILLER, one of the Directors, and the administration had no clue as to what happened. This incident was still undocumented after 3 attempts from parents both me and my wife to get to the bottom of this THE DAY BEFORE. After telling JODY MILLER about this scenario, she went to "TALK WITH HER BOSS" for a good 10 Min (LEAVING ME IN OFFICE), and came back with Mrs Stephanie's report from "4:30" yesterday. This report was written defensively in about 5 min while I was there. It was not signed and acknowledged by the director, and it was not given to me until I came and threatened DCF action. 3 Different stories from 3 different ADULTS!!!! WOW Talk about sweeping some shady shit under the rug AND STILL NOT DOCUMENTING ANY OF IT!!!!!!!! My daughter has to stop by her office and has to say hi every morning and bye every time we leave ! As a parent, seeing these kinds of interactions makes me feel like she's in good hands. My daughter has been there a few months now and haven't had any issues since and especially now in her new grade level. Although we know Leila adored her previous teacher (she always stops by her old classroom door, lol) We LOVE Ms. Stephanie and I believe its Ms. Sandra , I feel like my daughter is thriving and learning SO much. She comes home and says new things like every day. She's always super excited to go to school and you can tell that these teachers really love what they do but also love their kids. My daughter was pee accident free by like literally day 3 , and we tried for so long and couldn't do it, idk where we went wrong ! The school has cameras , and you can always see how the teachers are interacting with the kids, its awesome to watch. I highly recommend kiddie academy. Lil' rascals also was extremely helpful with my military childcare subsidy program. It's a lot of paperwork and keeping track but between them and my husband, they were super easy to work with and very understanding (govt money can take some time to get there). While we did not have a horrible experience we did not have a stellar one. The last straw was definitely the Director (who had been there our daughter's entire tenor) left without any notice to the parents (she knew she was leaving). This was very emotional for our daughter since this director claimed to "love" our child and I had to explain sometimes people you love leave. Daycare: Our daughter was relatively happy. They have early drop off and 6pm pick up, so it makes it very convenient for working parents. We started at 4 yrs old so I can't speak for the baby rooms. They started on the road to learning and preparing the kids for VPK VPK: We felt that the VPK program was very good and prepared our daughter for kindergarten. The teachers genuinely cared about our daughter and she had a good experience. Summer: the summer between VPK and K, the kids continued learning to insure they didn't forget what they learned in VPK. They also had a lot of in house activities and a once a week field trip. The school age kids went on field trips M-Th. and had themed days on Fridays. All in all it was a good experience for the VPK to K transition summer. Aftercare: aftercare...during my daughter's first year of aftercare it was okay. The kids are mixed from kindergarten to the oldest school age. I was not thrilled about this. The room also had about 2 college aged teachers watching all of the kids. They worked on homework with the kids, however, it was extremely loud and chaotic. At the end of the school year the assistant director left (quite abruptly) and was not replaced until very recently. During our 2nd year, our experience did not improve. Pick up from our daughter's school was delayed due to the lack of help. She got out of school at 2 and did not arrive at Lil Rascals until after 3 pm. Cons: turn over of staff is horrible. When we finally left only 2 staffers were still there from when we started. We were only there 3 years. One was a VPK teacher and the other was the woman who took care of the food, cleaning, ect. They are not responsive to communication and don't "own" anything. They raise the cost every session and also added a fee for paying by credit/debit card. They put zero money back into the school and zero money into their staff and any enrichment for them. Summary: I would say yes to this place for toddler & VPK...no to aftercare.

They take care of each detail everyday: health, food, behave, learning and entertaining and also they are very communicative with moms. -Program: They are over the average. My son knows how to read, write and maths and he's only 4. AMAZING! -Special activities: They do take care of each holiday and they involve the parents on their children's activities. They planify interesting and enjoyables field trips for VPK (they also have free VPK) -Schedule: They are open everyday from 6:30am to 6:30pm, and always with a smile in their faces. -Budget: very much AFFORDABLE!
