    Shrimp skewer platter

Wow, what took me so long to eat here? Excellent service. Parking was a breeze. I got the platter with shrimp skewer and two sides. So much food for a great price. I count complain - I'll be going back !

What a great spot for lunch! Walked in and was immediately warmly greeted. They made the food fresh to order and everything was delicious. The gyro was packed with lamb, the tzatziki fresh and tangy and delicious. My daughter loved her falafel wrap - the home made hummus was nutty and delicious. The inside is clean and well designed with comfortable seating. If I lived her this would be my go-to spot for lunch for sure!

$18 and not that amazing. Come on people.

The food was very fresh, and the restaurant itself was clean with friendly service, which I definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, the portion felt pretty small for the $18 price. The flavor was also very mild -- nothing was bad, but it just didn't have that pop or seasoning I was hoping for. The fries were fresh and everything looked good, but overall it felt a little underwhelming for the price.

Love Greek gyros so was thrilled to discover this place in the Houston Northcutt shopping center near Harris Teeter. Delicious gyros. Easy takeout. Fast, friendly service. Neat little place also serves there.

If you're looking for authentic greek flavor then you definitely should stop by and give Platia Greek Goodness a try. This casual restaurant is an order and sit type of place. Their menu has a lot to choose from and the best way is to go for us was the platter option. Definitely shareable. It can seem a little pricey but the servings were fair for the price. Our 2 protein options were chicken skewers, lamb patties, lemon potatoes, greek salad, beet hummus and original hummus spread. Everything came fresh and hot. One suggestion though is maybe a couple more pieces of pita. The staff was very attentive and made sure to check-in on us. We definitely enjoyed our lunch at Platia and it is a nice addition to Mount Pleasant.

This place is 10/10. The food is extremely fresh and delicious. The girl at the front is the nicest girl you will ever meet and she will make sure everything is perfect with your meal. It's extremely clean in there and I will definitely go back again and tell my family about it.

Baklava needed a little extra honey

Great Greek menu with lots of fresh and reasonable options- both in portion size and pricing. I actually don't have to figure out who will split something with me here! Both the lemonade and cucumber juice are fresh drink choices. The small sides of dips are under $2. The gyro can be made vegetarian, chicken, or lamb and all come expertly wrapped (in a manner you can eat ii to not wear it!). The baklava was tasty but could have used some honey on the dry top- we just ripped it off and enjoyed the bottom. Don't sleep on the $2 side of carrots/celery as a healthy dipping option.

The last two times I've ordered pita chips and hummus through the app, the online ordering process felt completely pointless. Both times, my order was marked with an estimated pickup time, but it wasn't actually ready until more than 10 minutes after that. While I was waiting, I watched employees serve 15+ people who came through the regular line after I had already placed and paid for my order. I even saw pita chips being given to customers in line while I was still waiting for the chips I had ordered earlier. It just doesn't seem like online orders are being prioritized or managed efficiently. On top of that, both orders of pita chips were so heavily seasoned and salty that I couldn't finish them. I've had the pita chips here many times over the years and never had this issue before, but the last two visits have been consistent enough that it feels worth mentioning. As a college student, eating out is something I have to budget for and is a treat I look forward to. When the food isn't edible because it's overly salty and the pickup process takes significantly longer than expected, it feels like a waste of money. I know everyone has off days, and I've had plenty of positive experiences at this location in the past. However, because this has happened twice in a row, I'll definitely be more hesitant about ordering here in the future.

One thing that immediately stood out was that they were open late on a Sunday. We arrived around 8 PM, which was incredibly convenient, and since the restaurant wasn't crowded, we were seated right away. Our server (I unfortunately don't remember her name, she was blonde and incredibly friendly) provided what was probably the best service we experienced during our entire trip. She was attentive, welcoming, and made excellent recommendations. We ordered the 2x California Burger, chicken sandwich, a gyro, side salads (they put the dressing on the salads, it was actually the perfect amount for me, but just be warned, ask for it on the side if you want to add it yourself), and a cheesesteak. The gyro (I got lamb) was recommended by our server, and it did not disappoint! Everything was fantastic, but the burgers deserve special recognition. Whoever was working the grill that night deserves a raise. Hands down, the best burger we had on our entire trip. The seasoning was perfect, the patties were thick and juicy, and they had an amazing char that took them to the next level. We also upgraded to the Aloha Fries, which were a great addition and definitely worth trying. From the outstanding food to the exceptional service, Coleman Public House exceeded our expectations in every way. We'll definitely be back because there are still so many items on the menu we want to try. The place was clean, could use a little update/refresh with paint and small things...but I come for the food first and foremost. Seriously, give this place a shot, you won't regret it. Yum!

Our table also got the meat board, pimento with bacon jam, and the crab and artichoke dip. I loved the mac & cheese and I'm convinced that if you put that sauce on anything it would be 10 out of 10. I also loved the crab and artichoke dip which is served with warm pita, however, there were mixed reviews at our table. The dip was very crab forward, and the artichoke was barely perceptible. The only criticism of the charcuterie was that there was small portions. The pimento and bacon jam is served with Ritz crackers and one's pleasant, but I felt a little underwhelmed. However, for one of the people at our table, it was the favorite. We sat outside in the covered patio area, and I was surprised by how loud the outdoor seating was. If you're sensitive to overstimulation, sitting inside in the air conditioning would be a much more quiet experience. The service was a little slow, but overall the experience was wonderful and the restaurant is located right next to the water. We were there on a weekend and it was busy even though it was in between lunch and dinner. Parking was hard to come by, but that's to be expected for this location.

On his suggestion, I ordered the Steak Chimichurri Taco and The Hangover. Each was distinctive enough to deserve its own mention. The steak in the Steak Chimichurri Taco was exceptionally tender and full of flavor. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the toppings complemented the beef rather than competing with it. The goat cheese was just assertive enough to stand out without overpowering the other ingredients, creating a layered, well-balanced bite that kept me coming back for another. The Hangover was equally memorable--and completely unexpected. Had I actually read the menu instead of putting my trust in Michael, I probably wouldn't have been quite as surprised. Fortunately, I did, because his recommendation was spot on. Once again, I was treated to a wonderful balance of flavors and textures. And there's something undeniably satisfying about seeing a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg crowning a taco. FOOD - 10:10 Michael struck exactly the right balance between being attentive and giving me space to enjoy my meal. He knew the menu well, answered my questions confidently, and his recommendations couldn't have been better. SERVICE - 10:10 The atmosphere was every bit as enjoyable as the food. The music was at the perfect volume, the playlist fit the space well, and the lighting was bright enough to feel welcoming without being harsh. It's the kind of place where you could comfortably have a business lunch just as easily as a date night. AMBIANCE - 10:10 Will I be back? Absolutely.
