We waited about 20-25 mins to get our order. It was a longer than usual wait but we didn't mind because our food was fresh and delicious. Food is a little pricey but we think it's worth it. We ordered deep fried pork hock, which was delicious. Portion is smaller compared to comparator Filipino restaurants but nonetheless it is packed with flavour. I am not a huge fan of the sauces that accompany the dish. The beef in peanut sauce was delicious! It's rich, creamy and a generous portion. Anything that's tossed in a rich peanut sauce really gets my tastebud dancing! We ordered 2 bowls of rice, I didn't appreciate $9 for 2 bowls of rice but oh well.... Excellent service, the lovely guy with the long hair was friendly and welcoming. He answered all our questions and was very polite. We paid $80 for 2 dishes, rice and a 15% tip. We'd like to try their buffet so will need to plan for that sometime this year, hopefully.

The buffet was reasonably priced so we'll likely come back to try other dishes. The halo-halo we ordered was from their ala carte menu, so we paid for this separately. What really stood out at this restaurant is the service because the servers were attentive and fun to be around during the live music performance. They have a band on the weekends which adds to the ambiance of this place. Definitely come here if you want to have a great time!

Closed on Wednesday and Thursday. I happened to be in the neighborhood recently around noon and decided to try this place. Located on Ewen in Queensborough part of New West, it is not super convenient for people living outside this area. There is no other restaurants here except maybe Frankie G about half a km away. So it is a deliberate decision to dine here, not a "oh I passed by and decided to try" thing. Street parking is available. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. The menu is on the board. It is all about the silogs. They also sell Sans Rival cakes. I think only as a whole cake and not in slices. I don't see many cakes so probably it's for pre-order? I didn't know what to order as I rarely had silogs. I remembered my Filipino coworker raving about bangsilog (fried baby milkfish) and decided to get that. The fish was freshly fried. The eggs were done as requested (over easy)and served over garlic rice. The fish was nice but had many bones. I'll skip that in future. The garlic rice was so good. Their in house hot sauce was phenomenal. Spicy and sour. The eggs were good too. The owner and other staff checked on me often to see if everything was fine. It is a very homely place. I noticed the owner (lady boss) asked a young couple if the food was alright when they were paying as she noticed it wasn't finished. She then suggested them to pack it away and got them a to go box. It had a whole motherly/auntie vibe. Many of the diners are Filipinos. That's how you know it's an authentic place. When I was laying, I noticed a basket of mini muffins. I just had to get one to try. Ube bytes (1-2 bites). At $5.95 for 6 minis, they are not cheap. They were so good! It was very sweet that I thought they added condensed milk. Nope it was sugar. Cream cheese was listed in the ingredients too. Perfect with unsweetened tea or coffee. Great place for Filipino breakfast and baked goods. I wish there is more baked stuff.

Such a good Filipino breakfast place just in Queensborough area!! There's not many Filipino…read morerestaurants that do silogs and this is definitely one of the top places to get them. A no frills type of restaurant - service is prompt, people are quick to eat and leave, and you're always satisfied. Along the wall is the menu and you can pick up to 3 things to go alongside rice and 2 eggs (your style). This time around I opted for the tocino and lechon, and both were really good. I've also ordered the tapa and that could taste a little tough just because of the meat itself, but also a good option. The portions are quite big and I'm usually taking some home for leftovers. Protip: get sunny side up or over easy eggs so you can use the yolk as the dipping sauce too!!
