Stopped in to buy tennis balls. Everything was neatly organized in the store and easy to find. It was nice that you could buy gently used tennis balls for a good price or buy new. I walked into Play It Again Sports today and asked if they carried a "Stess Ball" or something simular to it so he could exercise his hands. The gentleman who helped me said, I'll be right back". When returned, he had 2, one for each hand. I asked how much they were and he kindly said, "Just take them, no cost". I couldn't believe what he had just said and asked him if he was sure. And bought a Used Shoeless Joe Jackson catchers mitt for $120 (new is around $220). The mitt was too big for my son (and me) when we tried it later that day. Returned it with the receipt the next day with no issues. Bought a new Wilson A500 there, which is cheaper (less dropped balls) and smaller for the hand. Would recommend the place. read more

I walked in here to look at used dumbells. It was significantly more expensive for their used rubber dumbells vs. brand new rubber dumbells at walmart. The same quality. Why would I pay $20 more (PER DUMBELL) for a used dumbell when I can save money and get new ones. Great selection of name brand items both new and used. Slow pitch bat selection is much better than dicks and the staff was very knowledgable about regulations and new rules. Lots of fitness gear, just as much as any other big box just jammed into a smaller store. Huge selection of snowboarding gear at nearly a third of what new products go for. Saw pretty current GNU, Burton, Ride, Forum, Never Summer boards with bindings for $200? I traded in my old golf stuff I was going to donate and I got some store credit and put it towards a brand new Sector 9. Legit!! This short guy with a Rollie Fingers mustache helped me out and he knew snowboarding. Big help. I've been to a couple of PIAS's before but this one had a big selection of moto gear. I acknowledge that this place isn't as big and won't carry everything Chalet or Dicks does but PIAS is a fun place to shop. They pretty much carry everything I need. I wish I could give more than five stars for this place. A few weeks ago I had a very expensive racing bike stolen from me. After watching all over the internet following the theft, it showed up for sale by this Play It Again Sports location. The thief had sold my bike to them. I contacted the location and they agreed to take the posting down and remove the bike from their floor to give me time to prove the bike was mine. Unfortunately I did not have real documentation that the bike was mine, as I bought it from a friend. After presenting the evidence I had to show the bike was mine Jim, the owner, agreed to release the bike to me rather than resell it for a nice profit, which he easily could have done. Jim is an ethical business owner and cares about his customers/community. I'll now be a customer for any sporting goods I might need in the future. Thanks again, Jim! read more

This store was larger than I expected. They had a variety of new as well as used items. I came in for snow pants and boots and they happened to have a 40% sale. So I was able to get a better deal. Bought a golf practice net from Play it again and I think I broke the cord while assembling.I struggled to bring it up and requested Play it again to help.In no time the owner himself was here and assembled it.Amazing customer service and care.I offered to compensate him but all he wanted in return was to "Come back to us if you have any other need". I went here to get some free weights, and as soon as I walked in I was asked if I needed assistance. I didn't (the weights are right by the entrance), but it was nice to be acknowledged. The weights and other items seemed to be reasonably priced, and the store was well kept up. The employees were polite, too. The only issue for me is it's too far away! And since it closest at 7pm nightly, I need to go right after work (and catch after work traffic) to get there. Also, the parking lot sucks, but that's not their fault. I'd go back for more sports items I need - I'd just do it on a weekend morning to avoid the rush. read more

Do not, I repeat do not have anything put away to purchase at a later time at this establishment. I was interested in purchasing a downhill mountain bike from this facility, and had it on layaway, and because I do surgery, and we were in a trauma case, I was unable to pick up the bike on the specified date. I called the store and spoke to a team member there, and let them know that I was unable to pick up the bike on that date but to hold it for me, until Friday or Saturday. Today Saturday, I was able to go in and I was able to complete the transaction, but when I got there, I had found out that they had sold the bike to someone else. Not only did they sell the bike to someone else, I was there to sell them my old sports equipment. I had unloaded all of this equipment out of my car, and we were doing the transaction, then I found out that someone else purchased the bike that I was going to purchase. So not only did they waste my time, I also ended up without the bike. read more

Very poor customer service. I received a new pair of work out gloves for Christmas. They did not fit and took the reciept and tried to exchange them for another size. They did not have the size I needed so I ask to credit back my account for the cost. They were unable to credit back to full $15 so they credited back $10 they said that their computer software was to old to credit back the full amount. I left with a worthless store credit for $5. My family will not go back. It cost me $5 just to shop there read more

I only give two stars because I found what I wanted. They tell you to bring in your used gear and then they won't take anything! Oh we can't take helmets.... what? They didn't want our softball gloves because they were too old.... which makes no sense they weren't ripped up or like...sticky or something just used! We had a lot of equipment taking up space in the garage, brought it in and they bought it back at a fair price. I then bought the Pickleball and Racket ball gear that I had really wanted. Got my son a used bat here, they boy that helped us was so incredibly sweet. He let us know the bat regulations are changing in our league January and suggested we go with a used bat for now since we will be buying a new one next season. This place has a ton of used, some new golf clubs as well as other sports equipment. I bought two Calloway woods, older models one for $19.99 and the other for $24.99, what a deal. I've bought other stuff here before, like used weights, only .10 cents a lbs. You have to stop by here first on your way to the big sports stores. read more

Would give ZERO stars if I could. I popped in on a Saturday afternoon to look at golf stuff. I saw a Sunday bag I liked and asked the young lady if she could set it aside for me because I was going next door to the book store and didn't want to walk in there with a golf bag. She agreed and put the item behind the register. When I returned, she was nowhere to be found but the young man who helped me sounded like he was familiar with the situation and told me to hold on while he went to the back. He returned with a faded kids bag and told me my bag had been "sold" by mistake but that he would make it up to me by giving me $5 off the piece of junk he was holding. It was a piece of junk because I had actually asked the young lady to climb a ladder and pull it down so I could look at it and it was in such bad shape I refused it. What was so disappointing was that the bag had been placed on hold in an area where you shouldn't just sell it without asking if it was there for someone else. It was obvious the young man had sold it but instead of owning up to it, he just said "it had been sold". And instead of just telling me about the mistake immediately, he added insult to injury by making me wait while he went to the back and tried to salvage another sales opportunity by offering to sell me junk at a whopping $5 off. If he was really sorry for what he did, he would have offered that junk bag for only $5. I still would have refused it, but at least the gesture would have been commendable and in line with what happened. When someone doesn't own up to their mistake, that's all you really need to know about how they run their business. I'll certainly never shop there again and who knows if it will even matter to them. read more

I do not know how this store has received so many good reviews. I am giving this store a one star because it took me three different trips to finally sell a treadmill. The first time I was told it had to be assembled ( I totally understand that) so we took it home and put it together. Then on day two we had gotten there right after closing time. ( again I get it but I was just looking to helps us out). But where the problem accrued is that the guy in the store just waved his hand at us and continued to work. I found that to be extremely disrespectful. This man couldn't even have the consideration to tell us " hey look there is nothing we can do". So we left. Then today we go over there and meet the manager. Oh that was a treat. She talked to us as though we were yelling and screaming at her employees( which was not the case). That was the worse. It made an awkward and hostile situation instead of trying to create a positive experience for THE CUSTOMER. Over all. Horrible service. Rude employees. And just a bad experience.
