Wow! Amazing. So my kids needed hockey skates and this was the fourth location of my day on the search for getting four boys hockey skates...by Sunday. The owner was there helping us, like immediately. He helped me understand how they fit the boys feet and how to size them. They had a HUGE selection of youth and junior hockey skates...and the prices were so much better than Facebook market place. The owner was personable and kind and helpful...plus his store has a zillion sports items. I don't know what you're in to...but he has it. So nice to be treated with kindness and with someone knowledgeable and meet a cool small business owner. Go there! Take your family there. Take your teams there. Before beginning my journey to Plat It Again Sports, I checked out the website to see if they may have what I was looking for. The website confirmed that they did, but when I arrived in the store everything looked really old, dirty and passed down way too many times. As soon as I walked into the store I was assisted. So I didn't even really have time to look around myself. I asked for the product I was looking and immediately was told "No, they do not have it." The associate didn't even look for it before he gave me an answer. That was a total turn off for me and I gladly walked out of that dusty store. Will not be returning, as for I have no need to. Reasons? The items are over priced for it to be second hand items. Obviously the website is not accurate. Obviously the associates don't want people (maybe like myself) to look around and shop. read more

I never have high expectations for this type of store but they have a lot of new and gently used sporting goods. It's more of an adventure going in. This particular shop has everything imaginable and nice staff. Picked up a solid wooden corn hole set for a party and some other fun stuff. Checked out the hockey and golf equipment. I didn't need anything but they have a wide selection. Personally, I like buying new when it comes to hockey. People should beware that hockey equipment gets destroyed with sweat. It isn't anything you would really want preowned unless it was pristine. But sometimes you find sticks and it's great if you're not certain your player will be involved long in the sport. read more

I went in today looking for some used golf clubs. I had the opportunity to meet JD one of the owners and he was awesome! Extremely knowledgeable, down to earth, and overall just a nice guy! His manager was just as awesome. They had a great selection and a clean store. I walked out with a new golf bag, a putter and some Auburn club covers. I will be back for all my sporting needs. I had lined up the players, paid the fees and assessed the collective softball equipment each of us owned. We were nearly ready to be a part of the teacher softball league. The only thing missing was a bat. I would hate to be the team that runs to the other dugout and asks to borrow their bats (is that even a thing? Probably goes against some unspoken softball rule right?). Shelling out a hundred plus dollars for a brand new bat was not in the cards, so I decided to give Play It Again Sports a whirl. My first impression, as I entered the shop, is that they pack a lot of sports equipment into a little space. They had at least a tiny section that deals with most of the popular Florida sports. I found the bats pretty easily (they were hanging up slightly above eye level). I moved passed the t-ball and junior boys bats, left the wooden ones behind and approached the softball rack. A lot of the bats were marked fast pitch and weren't meant for the league we were joining. I saw no rhyme or reason for the way the softball bats were arranged so I asked the man at the register if they had any specific bats for slow pitch. He came over and moved a couple bats saying "these were organized with this hanging rack being all slow pitch bats but sometimes they get mixed up." He pointed out the five or six bats that were meant for slow pitch softball. He then went a step further and recommended two of them. I checked out the prices. Good God! A hundred plus dollars for a used softball bat that was not speckled in gold? Uh, no thank you. He also suggested that they had a new line of softball bats that were hanging behind the register. These bats would run about a hundred dollars for a slow pitch bat. I thanked him for his time and went back to the rack to find something closer to my budget. I saw a twenty four dollar bat that had my name written all over it (well, technically it said Easton but my parents did tell me that they considered naming me that when I was born so it had my backup name all over it). Since I would be responsible for supplying the softballs and the bat, I figured a bag was necessary so I could easily transport things from one place to another. I found a really cheap baseball bag, we're talking fourteen dollars, and purchased that. This Play It Again Sports had exactly what I needed and the man behind the counter offered some advice when I needed a little help. When it comes time to start my teacher tennis/bowling/football/soccer team, I know exactly where to go to get all my equipment. read more

Let me tell you a story. One that should illustrate the complete lack of integrity and character that this story embodies and represents. I've been coming to this store since it opened. I play hockey and for some time I bought my equipment here. I gradually began buying elsewhere (namely online) because of the huge difference in price and selection, but also because the employees who work there were always so disinterested in helping me. Moving on. About two months ago I found myself needing a pair of skates for a game that same day, so online wasn't an option. I went in and found that there were no skates in my size (no problem, it was a long shot). After that I decided to, as I usually do, check out their selection of hockey sticks before taking off. Imagine my surprise when I found one of MY hockey sticks for sale. One of my OLD, BROKEN STICKS. Let there be no question about it, this was my stick. Same CCM shaft with the same, worn out Reebok blade (which has been off the market for YEARS now...) and my usual pink taped handle that I use to quickly identify my sticks in the locker room. Now, I came to understand how this stick might've wound up for sale in a second hand sports shop. I brought it to the rink not long before that day to give it to a friend, who intended to salvage the shaft of the stick, as the blade was completely broken and USELESS. My friend intended to cut the broken blade off and use the shaft with a replacement blade. My friend did not show up that night, and I must have forgotten the stick at the rink. So somebody picked it up and sold it to Play It Again Sports. I left it there, so it's my fault. No big deal there. What really got me riled up was the fact that this Play It Again Sports was selling this BROKEN stick for $25! They put about a pound of tape on the blade to hide the fact that it was broken, nearly in half. The sheer amount of tape they put on made it feel like it was intact if you were to flex it with your hand, but if you were to actually play hockey with it, it would snap very quickly. I didn't feel like getting into a confrontation with the employees there about the sickening practice of selling a broken stick for $25, so I just left. I will not be returning to a store that knowingly sells broken sports equipment for good money. I mean, imagine selling a broken stick to a money strapped teen whose season is starting up soon, who thought he or she could save some money by buying secondhand. Zero integrity. Zero is also the amount of money they'll be getting from me in the future. Shame on you all. read more

Gave me fair price for my used elliptical. Picked up from my house by two very nice, courteous, professional gentlemen (Ryan and Cameron). The transaction was very smooth and easy from start (giving quote for the item) to finish (pick-up). Plus, they do always have great inventory. One of my home care clients raved about the pedaler she got from them at a great price. It was a really nice one, too. read more

Wow is all I can say! Best service I've had from a retail store in awhile! The two young gentlemen working today took great care of me and my two boys as we began preparing for their baseball journey to begin! The guy helping me was David and boy did he know a lot about the game and how to size my boys. I'm so thankful I got his assistance because I know nothing of baseball! Him and his coworker worked really well together and kept the environment real happy and friendly here. My first time to this play it again location and I'm going to make sure I continue to keep coming here. Even though they got busy they had us and the other 10 customers moving through the line so almost no waiting to check out like we have ran into in some of the bigger sport stores!
