I almost walked out before the play started. However, I wanted to give the actors a chance to overcome the distasteful display of hate and assumptions. When they have Prince Andrew and Mendelson to target, they target the President of the United States. Not every play goer is hateful and against Our President. That said, there are the typical opening night issues. Long pauses that indicated lines were forgotten or missed. The sound was also a bit off. About who showed anger or severe emotional pain by screaming, were hard to understand and sounds muffled and lost. Either the actors were not annunciating or the sound was too high on they're mics. There seemed to be a few missed cues, as well. So if that said, this okay was fantastic and the kinks will be worked out in time. I wasn't sure about the minimalistic staging and lack of scenery, but I couldn't have been more impressed with the way the actors worked the bare stage making my imagination take over and seeing an entirely different experience in my mind. The acting was superb! Luccio came in a little rough, but he really stole the show by the end of the post. Well done! I would recommend the theater, as it is a bucket list for many thespians and okay goers! What an incredible production. Unfortunately, I allowed the RSC website to pick my seats. I ended up in a straight high back chair where my legs dangled and I couldn't see the entire state and videos in the background. It probably helped me be distracted by the disrespect they were insinuating. I would never buy tickets with these seats again. Almost intolerable, so the acting and entire production overshadowed what I didn't care for. Next time, if I'm lucky enough to be back in Stratford Upon Avon, I would return. Tolerance and giving things a chance worked out for me. I also live Shakespeare and am a thespian at heart.

It has a massive car park and it free and its handy if you wanna grab food before/after the movie. There is no time restrictions on car parking either which is good. The food and drink is the same as every cine world cinema, the only think that should go is the games room its too big and that space can be used for something else. Screens aren't huge but they are a good fair size, they were clean and tidy and the temperature was good as well.

It all sounds very worthy, but to balance out all the serious business, they often inject a big dollop of humour into their work, and run various comedy courses and comedy evenings.

The theatre is clean comfortable and well maintained and arranged so that everybody has an unblocked view of the screen. But there is a fine line between a certain ambience and outright squalor (take for instance the rehearsal complex in Birmingham I once visited which had a dead pigeon rotting in an open lift shaft and holes in the stairs. No such problems at Hockley Street Studios, which is neither soullessly spotless or seriously dilapidated. I've been using rehearsal spaces in and around Birmingham for about 14 years and Hockley Street Studios is the one I've used the most over the last 8 years and have rented a lock-up there for the last two and a half years. All the staff are friendly and are themselves musicians. It's the kind of place where they soon get to know you. Rehearsal spaces can get expensive but this studio has a small room which can be rented for £5 an hour. The amps and PAs in the by-the-hour rooms work, there's a free pool table and there's no holes in the stairs. Their shows are always enjoyable, well-produced and imaginative, and also always relevant. They present a lot of issue-based work that really strikes a chord with the kind of things particularly (though not exclusively) young people are dealing with today. Inside, the theatre itself is quite large, although it looks mildly amateurish inside. The outside architecture of the building leaves a lot to be desired, in its' 1960s concrete style fabrication, however, the stage itself is a good size, especially for some of the larger scale productions. There is a bar for mid-interval drinks, of which pre-orders can be taken to avoid the massive queues at half time.
