Pros: They accept DCS Foster Vouchers, provide meals, and usually have openings more often. Cons: They didn't review any of the enrollment papers and where not feeding her bottles enough throughout the day, so she was always starving at pick up. She was constantly in dirty clothes, and they never wiped her mouth or washed her hands after feeding. They offer no real educational things and the TV was never not on. They almost never put diaper cream on despite asking multiple times, so her diaper rash always came back. I was also uncomfortable with the ratios of kids vs teachers. The director is only there a few days a week and not a floater or relief like at most facilities. They also refused to allow bridges developmental therapists onsite which all other daycares in town do. Finally when I picked my daughter up she was in a soaking wet t- Shirt and had a bump on her forhead and the teacher onsite had several versions of the story of how this happened even saying at one point she didn't hit her head at all.. and they did not put ice on it or even tell me. I picked her up and had to ask ... even though it's the law that for injuries that they fill out an injury report. When I asked for the director to call me to discuss the issue I was told she doesn't talk to parents when she's not at the center. I wish we all had the luxury to be at work 3 days a week and ignore issues... If a child is injured at your facility and your staff lies about it - it's probably a good idea to adress it immediately but I guess we all have expectations. Then after we gave our notice of withdrawal she started pretending to lay her head down anytime she was "in trouble" like they yelled at her to laydown at nap or something... I am so thankful we where able to get her in another facility.

Low key one of the best YMCAs in East Tennessee! The upper weight room has a little outdated…read moreequipment but other than that the pool is fun, the court is real and staff are friendly. Some people are scared of this area of town but the YMCA is a safe place. definitely a must go to if one of the other YMCAs are your main hub location. Go get a workout in...the YMCA is the YMCA no matter where you go! Kids will have too much fun in that pool as well there are two slides, enough said?

This is the only facility with hydro rider- a spin class in the pool. It fills up fast, so call and reserve a bike, and bring your own towel. Cansler is a great facility and the Y staff is very friendly. On my visits, it was not as crowded as my usual Y and parking was not a problem. It's a shared lot with O'Connor Senior Center and there's an overflow lot across Jessamine. Just remember to bring your towel as they don't have towels. I highly recommend Cansler if you are looking for a fitness canter
