After doing a bit of searching around for hotels in the Blue Mountains/Collingwood area, Living…read moreWater seemed to offer good value for money and the pics looked promising. It's right off of the main road near Collingwood but on the side close to Blue Mountain. The atrium is nice and open and nicely decorated. Right from check-in, staff were exceptionally friendly and that was the case with every interaction for my 2 night visit. We had a couple appetizers at their restaurant 'Memories'. I could leave a review there, but since it's also right in the hotel I'll include it here. Loved the wings, but what really stood out was their breakfast buffet. It's $11 for the continental but only $14 for the full buffet. I was fully impressed and it was great value for the money. Lots of the regular stuff you'd expect, but everything was done right and very fresh. There was also an omelette station with it's own chef with lots of options to create something to your taste. The buffet had a couple unique things too, like mini samosas, a veg mixed bean dish, bread pudding and spiced maple syrup. Again, staff were beyond friendly and super attentive. The room was nice enough. The bed was really comfortable and on the firm end which I prefer. A couple of the renos and touch ups were a bit on the sloppy side and on the second night it was apparent the sound proofing wasn't the greatest - though it was quieter fortunately by the time we went to bed. But it was a fairly large room and for the price it was still pretty good. We had a busy schedule and I wasn't able to use the gym, mini arcade or the pool, but they are there and I at least saw the pool and saw that it's a pretty good size. A good stay overall, with very good value for mid-range pricing, exceptional staff and and awesome breakfast buffet.

This place annoyed me. While we were there, our wifi kept going down. I asked the desk about it and…read morethey both told me that this is what happens when they're busy and also that I was the first to complain about it - which made the latter a fairly sketchy claim given the former. I get that this is a fairly trivial compliant and there are more important things than a bad Internet connection, but the rudeness and disrespect they gave to their customers when I tried to ask them about it just bothered me and put a stain on my entire trip and I'm sorry that I stayed here. They literally did not care at all that one of their guests was having an issue and seemed put out that I asked them about it. If you have a choice between this place and literally anywhere else, I'd suggest anywhere else. I feel like a jerk complaining about something like this, but their attitude towards my bringing it up was even worse than the bother of not having wifi.

I went to the bar and was shocked to find that had no Canadian beer for sale. All American. These Casinos are owned by the provincial government, so you would think they would support buying Canadian. Pissed me off, because I shop Canadian whenever possible. I email Casino Rama, (Indian owned) and they serve Canadian beer. From now on I will be going there. It may be a longer drive, but I support buying Canadian

You pay up front before being seated and inside it's a buffet. On the night I went it was lobster tails and prime rib. The lobster tails for the majority were fresh, chewy, and full of flavor. The Prime rib was tender and not too overdone. They also had a salad bar, dessert station, and soup/bread station which were all solid. No complaints whatsoever, but my faves were the chef's pasta and mashed potatoes. Hands down the best mashed potatoes I've had in my life. All in all very good, especially at the $15 (member) / $25 (non member) price point. The Prime rib and lobster tails kept coming, the food was steaming hot, partially because the venue was packed, and there's a long line that keeps getting longer as the night passes on. 10/10 would recommend
