Beautiful, charming, alive square in downtown Cordoba. A place like this is what everybody will dream to have in their cities. If only the US will have some of these around will make everybody happier. Trendy stores, restaurants, gelatto places, super good looking people of all ages mixed up having fun, chatting seating al fresco, tourists impressed with the joy in the aire...I love Plaza de las tendillas, where if you go for New Year's Eve you are oblige to go and hear the 'campanadas' (bells that indicate the New Year arrival). Everybody is nicely dressed, stores are opened until late and the lights are yellowish which gives a nice glow to the whole scene. Day and night this plaza is the ultimate one. read more

Beautiful and cozy little plaza that is a popular place to go when there are events such as Christmas, New Year's and summer activities. On regular and mundane days, you can stroll through the street called Concepción and pass H&M, Zara, and other stores before hitting this open place where people relax, enjoy some tapas, have ice cream and batidos (Spanish milkshakes) from Heladería Flor de Levante, etc. While it's not strikingly impressive in size like Madrid's Plaza Mayor or Córdoba's own Plaza Mayor called Plaza de Las Correderras, Tendillas is quite charming, if small. The surrounding architecture, famous clock that makes sounds of a guitar being strummed, and historical statue admist the fountain all make for a treat when in this small, culturally rich and historically important Andalusian city. It also connects to many other streets that can take you to the Judaria (Old City where the Great Mesquita is located), Roman columns, Correderras, and so on. read more
