INCONSISTENT!- 1st time going there was good; 2nd time it was terrible described below- I got the garlic sauce shrimp which was pre-cooked and rubbery/ chewy drenched in a watery tomato sauce and a salad that had shredded lettuce and a half of a tomato slice and sour cream.It was terrible. We were here on a Friday night with a group of ten people. There were issues all over the place.Most of the errors I can blame on the server. Not sure if she was inexperienced or didn't care. Yes she was nice . But by the end of our meal it was getting old.I did get an Apology for a manager on a decent size billing mistake. That he had to fix. I went with my family and we all had a delicious meal. I sat us inside and when the rest of my part arrived they wanted to sit outside so our server helped us move and got a bowl of water for our dog. My margarita was huge and I love a complimentary chips and salsa! I got the Pollo Texano which was shrimp, chicken, steak with rice, guac, lettuce and queso. Absolutely fabulous! My grandad enjoyed the fajitas, my sister the taco salad, and my mom the birria tacos. The consume was different than usual but still tasty. We had dinner here on a Tuesday evening. First time here and what a nice restaurant. We had the complimentary chips and salsa and ordered a couple of margaritas. They were huge! After a very short wait our orders came: camerones Veracruz and coctel de cameron. Both were very delicious! I was amazed that a big shrimp cocktail (with their own spicy cocktail sauce-not the store bought style) could be an entire meal, but it was! Service was great and if the weather hadn't been so hot we could have gone out on their really pretty outdoor dining area. I thought the prices were very good, too. read more

I can be picky when it comes to Mexivsn restaurants, so please forgive me! First off, the restaurant and staff are great. The greats in food are portion size, the enchilada sauce, the Chicken enchiladas, and the refried beans. The only negatives I have were that the prices are about a buck or two on the high side, the beef enchilada was a tad dry and bland(needs some more spice or enchilada sauce), and the specials of the house should come with a small portion of rice and beans, or just beans. Again, sorry to be so picky, but there it is. Overall? I'd definitely eat here again, and I recommend it. read more

Upon arrival greeted by a man who says ," how many" ? I say ," two." he says," do you want to eat at the bar." I say, " no." he says," are you sure you don't want to eat at the bar." Margarita was great. It was an okay experience but nothing that would make me want to come back again. For starters the menu gives to many choices leaving you paralyzed to make a decision. Leaving me not to be satisfied when I do decide. I ordered the" Mixed fajitas" which was chicken and steak fajitas but I received chicken and shrimp fajitas $1.00 more this entrée on the menu. I didn't say anything to the waiter. However, the fajitas did not have enough flavor, seasoning is needed. Our server never checked on us after food was brought to table. The salsa/ tomatillo salsa is lacking flavor and runny as well. Also, NEVER EVER REMOVE PLATE until both people have finished eating. My friend really liked the frozen strawberry margarita and the strawberry flavor actually tastes like strawberries and sweet. My friend had a combination dinner" Pick two different items" he felt food was really bland and nothing to really to write home about. He had to hunt the waiter down for dessert and the flan was again bland. No magical burst of flavor in your mouth. I used to enjoy dining here. My family and I have come several times and spent a lot of money in the restaurant. However, when I was finishing up my leftovers from our visit last night, I crunched into some kind of creature that I didn't order in my taco. To me it resembled a cockroach. Potentially it could have been a shrimp tail I will give them that although, had I had a shellfish allergy this could be a much bigger issue and I didn't order a single thing with shrimp. I gave them the curtesy of calling as to not make a big deal of it in front of other patrons. They asked me to come in. When I got there I was kind, quiet and patient about the situation. I waited for approximately 30 minutes for them to find my ticket and decide how to handle this. I asked for a full refund because I just bit into something that looked like a cockroach... I would have gladly accepted a partial refund for my meal when it was offered had they not laughed at me when I showed them the pictures. They put me on the phone with who I'm assuming was the manager or owner who told me that he was surprised when looking at the pictures because they spray pesticides and that they had no way of knowing if it came from their restaurant or my home. I was laughed at, made fun of, bullied about to other patrons in the restaurant over something that I was trying to handle with grace. I wanted a full refund due to the lack of professionalism in their handling of the matter. As a business owner, I would never allow my employees to treat a customer the way I was treated. read more

Walking in the door a man told us "there are rat feces in the chips!" and unfortunately we did not heed his advice and instead waited for a table. Though we didn't find any feces, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We waited for a table for about 45 minutes and they ended up skipping over us because we were sitting outside. We reminded the hostess and were eventually seated. It took 10-15 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. After haggling him for a while we finally got one basket of chips, but we had to beg other staff to bring us the following baskets of chips (our waiter would say he was bringing them, but he never did). After about an hour and a half of waiting our food came ( I guess we fared bette than others because the people across from us waited two). I was really excited to see that our food was finally coming, but it was followed with immense disappointment. My husband didn't even get what he ordered, but he just ate it because he was so hungry. I bit into my enchiladas and they were room temperature, but I was so hungry I decided I would bear it. I ate more and realized that the middle of the enchiladas were ice cold...I don't think they were cooked. We waited for the check for another 20 minutes and then it was wrong (and our waiter wasn't even the one that getting us our check because we couldn't get him to help us). They tried to charge us for food we didn't order. There were many other inconveniences too numerous to mention, but basically avoid this restaurant if you want warm food within a 2 hour timespan. read more

My husband and I enjoy dining out and if the weather cooperates, we prefer to sit outside. I had received a valpak coupon booklet and while looking through, found a coupon for Plaza Mexico. It's close to home so one night we decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised by how great the food is and how fast we were served! We were seated outside (by a parking lot but, no big deal). Our server arrived quickly and brought chips and salsa. She took our drink order and was back in minutes. My husband had the shrimp burritos which were "good ". I had the chimichanga's. Wow! This establishment is ridiculous! Over priced dried rice...staff members being rude and lying about what is available on the menu when the rest of our party ordered the same thing! Staff members getting smart when question about the errors they made with the orders! Staff members laughing in our face when we ask to speak to an owner or manager, acting like they don't speak English when they spoke English enough to take our order or over charge us for what we ordered! Best margaritas around! This was our second visit and both times the food, margaritas and service was great. We had the fajitas and tacos this time. Both were delicious. Our waitress was great and service for both our drinks (from the bar) and food was perfect. Good place for kids too. Kids' menu has a little bit of everything for even the most picky eaters.
