I was with my family in Missoula for one night after vacationing in Darby, Montana. Our driver recommended this place and we were not disappointed! My sister is a bit of a picky eater, so we were concerned about the small menu at first, but everything we ordered was delicious. We got the squash hummus appetizer, the mushrooms with focaccia, the cauliflower app and the curry bowl. The flavor of the curry was so amazing, we ordered a second one. During our one night in Missoula, we decided to check out a few different places for small plates and drinks with Plonk (thanks fellow Yelpers!) getting us started. Plonk had a hip vibe to it when you enter the restaurant. The place is huge!!! The restaurant had a very long bar almost down the entire restaurant which provided a cool scene. We ordered a few drinks from the cocktail list and a small plate of cauliflower and feta. The drinks were amazing and very tasty. The mixologist did a great job. Our plate of cauliflower and feta cheese was an unexpected success. The sauce and huckleberries added an extra zing that made the dish amazing. The negatives...you can get super friendly staff, but it's less the norm. I typically find staff tend to be less friendly, inpatient, and not very knowledgeable about what they are serving. The atmosphere is cute but very loud inside and echoey. If that's your vibe perfect, if you want to hear what your friends are saying on a busy night...good luck. The upstairs patio during summer months is fantastic and cute! The bar during more mild happy hour weekdays is enjoyable and make sure to check it out! The food is really good, I would be a regular if not for the other aspects. read more

Tucked in the heart of Missoula, this elegant mid-century modern wine/cocktail bar is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink or two. The wait staff are warm and personable, making it a very comfortable experience. The drinks list is much more than what's posted online. Even the Coke is special from Mexico in a bottle (the original flavor). After ordering wine and cocktails, our table shared the Ploughman's Board, the Sardines and Saltines, Buffalo Cauliflower, Mushroom Steamed Buns with Pork Belly, the Duck Arepa, and the Grapefruit and Avocado Salad. Late post We had a company dinner last night for 20 people which turned out awesome. I worked with Ben to make arrangements for their 7 corse meal, everything was flawless. We emailed back and forth to discuss the details and the final results could not have been any better. They accommodated our guests who had food allergies and one who was gluten free and vegan. Other than the Diver Scallops the dishes were made from locally grown farms. Everything tasted amazing! read more

Visiting Missoula, Montana as we heard it's a fun city and we were starving and I wanted something in the Downtown area. Plonk sounded awesome because they said rooftop bar. That always attracts my attention! When we got there, it's almost an open air restaurant & it is seat yourself. The place was crowded which means it's popular! Went up the stairs and the rooftop bar was crowded. Boo. But the waiter said some people are leaving soon so we waited around. Finally got seated within 5-10 mins and loved the hummus appetizer. I enjoyed my gin drink as well! The ambiance was nice too. If I'm ever in Missoula again I'll have to sit downstairs and try that experience out! read more

This was seriously one of the best meals we have ever had! My husband has the Alaskan Halibut, while I had the beef tenderloin. My filet was cooked to perfection and seasoned so well. We also enjoyed the Ploughman's Board and the gluten free chocolate tart. The bar tender has his skill perfected! I enjoyed the Mexican Sweater that had the perfect hint of jalapeño. My husband enjoyed two other drinks that were equally amazing! Our waitress was the friendliest young lady and was from Temecula, CA...a small world indeed. The atmosphere was funky and fun! Cool old building with exposed, original brick walls and decorative ceilings. Helpful staff, who clearly like each other. To me, that always yields a good experience. Sat at the bar, which I often do when by myself. Interesting crowd that seemed like a lot of regulars. A beautiful early evening in Missoula helped the mood. They seem to have a great cocktail, craft beer and wine selection, so it would impossible not to find something you like here. Had a mid-day Manhattan, which was tasty - and strong. Enjoyed the fried (lightly) cauliflower and shishito peppers, which was excellent. Also enjoyed the Lebanese Beef Tartare, which was quite unique, and was served along with 3 slices of warm, black garlic focaccia bread. The focaccia was amazing! Big nope! Ridiculously overpriced. For 50$, including tip, we got 2 cocktails & a beef skewer appatizer. Appatizer consisted of 4 wooden picks w/ a slice of bread, tiny bit of meat. & a cherry tomatoe. It was laughable. Happy Hour menu looked way better than their dinner menu.
