Friendly guy and very knowledgable (you'd think everyone would be but alas, they're not). Jimmy diagnosed our issues and today he returned and fixed our plumbing problems, going over and above and exuding an exceptional work ethic and craftsmanship. Excellent service. Office checked up regularly to make sure both appointments were on time and going smoothly. Technician was skilled, friendly, professional, and responsive. We had a non-standard installation of an all-in-one washer/dryer that required moving pipes (so the device would fit in the space) and some creative heavy lifting to get the washer into place. We needed a plumber to fix a few issues including: a leaky and rusted kitchen faucet (that had come off its base); a leaky bathroom sink that also did not drain properly; a poorly flushing toilet; and a shower bathtub that didn't retain water for a bath. From the first call to the Plumbing Dudes, we felt like we were in professional, respectful hands. Spoke with Armen on a Monday morning and he was able to send a tech to us later that afternoon. Jimmy arrived on time (even a few minutes early!) and gave us a thorough estimate and timeline for the work to be done. He returned, as scheduled, a couple of days later and did great work with a great attitude and excellent, friendly communication skills. He said if anything wasn't quite working right over the next few days once we got to use the sinks again (ie., if a sneaky leak returned) to give them a call back so they could reassess. We called them a few days later about something that needed to be reassessed and Anna who manages the calls was outstanding and awesome. She listened, she offered solutions and she immediately got back to us with a very accurate ETA for the tech who needed to come back. Saul arrived on time, reassessed the issue and fixed it all very nicely and completely. In summary: Kitchen faucet is new and no longer leaking; bathroom sink drains well!!!; toilet is fully flushing; and the bathtub retains water when we want to take a little bath. Job very well done! Once again, I needed to call the Plumbing Dudes for a 2nd plumbing issue. I had a noisy toilet that kept me up all night with the incessant pressure noise. I called this morning and asked if anyone was available today. Anna as always, was most kind. She said they'd have someone out between 3pm and 5pm today!! Overdue review for the Plumbing Dudes!!! Last Saturday my wife came home and found a puddle of water on the bathroom floor around the toilet that totally soaked up the rug. I took a peak and the main water hose from the wall to the fill valve was leaking. I called our usual plumber and he had me send pics. From the two pictures, he said he would replace the hose for $675. I had to slam on the brakes and at least get a couple other estimates. I went on Yelp and found the Plumbing Dudes and made a mass message to other local plumbers near Studio City. Arman was the first to respond so I called him and he picked up! This was a Sunday and I could tell he was out with his family but he still promised he could do the job and he sent Tony to check it out the next day. Tony came by and checked it out in person but would have to return with the proper equipment. My next day off was Thursday so we set the appt. Thursday came and Tony was able to shut the water off in the building and swap out the main water line hose in about 30 mins. Easy fix and 100's less than my quote from our "go-to" plumber - who I probably will not be calling anymore! Thank you Tony and Arman for your professionalism and work. You have gained my trust! I hired another licensed plumber who installed my garbage disposal and he did it in 40 minutes for $125, which I thought was fair and reasonable. Armund is a quality "dude." When a new employee of his (no longer with his company), turned out to have made exaggerated promises, with worse than disappointing results, Armund came quickly to the rescue! When we had enough of the broken promises and shoddy work, from the ex-employee, on my wife's urging to "call the owner," I finally did. Armund answered the phone and told me he would be right over. He was literally here in 5 minutes. Armund quietly and non-defensively heard our difficulties with his employee and the botched job. Armund inspected the work done and not done, and said "I will make this right at my expense, I only want satisfied customers, and this work is not to our standards." We set a new appointment, and Armund promptly made all the corrections. Armund went beyond just fixing the prior shoddy work, and at his considerable expense, took care of the "oversold promises" of his now ex-employee. Seeing that Armund was an excellent plumber, and a man of his word, we made another appointment to have him replace an older toilet, his work was timely, top notch, and his pricing was reasonable. Called at about 2:30am since Yelp said 24/7. I thought there would be an answering service to leave my message for an appointment that same day. There was no answer so I hanged up to call in the morning. About 5 minutes later Armand called back. I explained my water heater was not working. Armand said he would call me at about 10am to set up a more exact arrival time. He called me at 9:30am and said he would arrive by 10am. Talking about fast service! This situation worked for me, but I can see for people who work and leave the house, this rapid response may not be amenable. I'm sure arrangements can be made beforehand so it would be at a more convenient time for the customer. The water heater took a while to fire up, but Armand was patient, sweat beading on his brow. More unscrupulous repair men could tell me a part needed replacIng to raise the price of the repair bill, but Armand is an honest repair man. Also got a 10% discount for showing the Yelp discount. So Yelp is also a great way to save some money to put away into a Roth IRA for a more prosperous retirement.
