On the first floor of what used to be a bank, this has to be the the best fit-out of any hair salon in town! Original pressed metal ceilings, super comfy chairs, great lighting, good magazines, and interesting art works, make this an inviting place, well before the offer of tea, coffee, mineral water (still or sparkling). Slightly hipster chic look and feel. But then Amy reminded me why I'd gone there: "You're after a cut and colour?" Indeed, I was, and 90 minutes later I was as happy with the result as at any place I've gone to in Fitzroy or Surry Hills--my hair haunts in Melbourne and Sydney. Tip: go on Tuesdays as I did because there's a discount--I think at least 10% off--on services that day. read more
