Kids get sent to reset too often, three periods of their 'education' is gone from just one reset. There's times to go the toilet in reset rarely, the teachers are bias if there's personal issue with a student outside of school. That is beyond me! You're not allowed on stairs at break when the other two options are the 'new' hall and the DT corridor which is absolutely packed can't get anywhere and will have a teacher getting you out because you're not year ten. Not even allowed to use the quad toilets at break as they're dedicated to year eleven. The teachers will take the mic out of you and the SLT do not do anything when you are sent reset even if it wasn't your fault. The maths teachers are absolutely miserable except a few. The English teachers are a mix of both you have some who are absolutely amazing such as Miss Lauzon who is one of the most cheerful teachers in the school and then you have Miss Davidson who is a lovely teacher although she is part time, she is absolutely brilliant at her job! They make the work doable as they are very cooperative and individually help the students. The science teachers on the other hand, expect you to know everything especially the biology department, Miss Lockett is quite rude yet she's good at her job and another biology teacher is quite big headed. Chemistry and Physics on the other hand have some great teachers yet room for improvement. Chemistry is one of the most essential subjects and they smash their jobs. The humanities department are absolutely brilliant. Head of History is incredible along with the teachers of his department. Geography is amazing as well yet still room for improvement, RS is absolutely fantastic they teach the subject brilliantly by far the best teachers in the whole school! The head teacher and the deputy heads are also great they even help the maintenance team by picking up litter! Although, in the galley queue even when it is raining sometimes you are forced to go around the corner by drama in the rain. The prices are also extremely high especially for the students who struggle economically at home. The head of years some are great I can't speak for all, as I only have one and I won't name her name yet she doesn't prioritise all students it's mainly only the good ones. The SEN is very good at school. The computer science department lacks a bit of teachers yet the two they have are absolutely epic. Mr Roger's is a great teacher who makes sure all the kids know what they need too. Can't say much for Miss Swan never had her. Art is great - Miss Graves best teacher ever. Food tech is brilliant Miss Mcnamee is perfect. DT is good. PE is great quite punitive though about no PE kit. Again, English are in the middle due to silly, ignorant and bias teachers. The Head Of English isn't the best as she may be an example of something I've said above . Overall school is mid lots of room for improvement though. read more
