I had one car in front of me when I pulled up to the drive-through. 22 minutes later I am on my way from transaction being complete. Beware you will have a long wait at this location.

The only thing that is better with PNC vs. National City is the online bill pay which seems to let you pay slightly faster, but everything else has gone downhill. Without going into great detail about my account activity, I have had some issues lately. As soon as I thought they were resolved, others have popped up. Even though not everyone working at this bank is awful, many seem to not care at all about serving loyal customers. It is hard to get through to someone on the phone quite often. And when you do, you hardly ever get the same person twice, even if you ask for someone by name. One woman, Cheryl, was "helping" me last week, said she would call back and never did. When I called back to ask for her, she was out to lunch. She did not resolve my issue first nor pass it on to someone that could before leaving the building. I was in a time crunch and it was urgent. Did that matter to her? No. Edwin was helpful last week, but when I had another problem today, not so much. Matthew that has answered the phone a couple of times is extremely nice and goes above and beyond to be pleasant and professional, but I am sure can't fix my issues the way I expect just because it's PNC and their new policies are ludicrous. Bank manager, Carrie, seemed to be glad to hear both my positive as well as negative feedback a week ago, but again, who is there to talk to about my new issue? No one. No one gives a damn. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They also are not willing to work with you if you have a disabling condition that makes it hard to come inside the bank for something that could and SHOULD normally be able to be handled over the phone. Nope, you must come in. Oh you need special accommodations? Well, you need an appointment for that. They'll call you right back to set up a time. When the call never comes and you go inside without the appointment, there the same people are, not very busy I might add, and no apologies whatsoever. I would let it all go because I did speak to the manager after all of this last week, but again I have another problem that stems from the horrible service I received from Cheryl last week. They will not correct it for me. Another call to the manager may be in order. Besides all that though, PNC points became half the value of the points from National City so it took twice as long to accrue the same rewards. Then, my points account disappeared and I lost all of mine right before it was time to cash them in. Free banking has disappeared unless you have a certain amount in your account or a certain amount of direct deposits a month. It did not used to be that way. PNC also closed my savings account I had with National City when it transitioned over and I was never able to get a new one because it had to be done in person and the wait was too long inside, though that was a different branch... One headache after another. Two stars because there was a time I was happy with this bank and with this branch especially. There are still worse banks, sadly. A competitor down the street which changed names several times, has a lobby where you have to be locked inside the bank, one customer at a time. No thanks! So PNC might be better than some of the other options, especially in this neighborhood, but I don't recommend. I don't have the first clue on an alternative, but will be shopping around. Welcome to the future of banking where you don't matter and have to literally pay for second-class treatment. UPDATE: Since I couldn't get through on the phone I wrote a letter to Carrie, the manager. Today, one week later, I had two voicemails from her. She is going to correct the issue I have. She also wanted to speak to me, which is great, but again I cannot get through. The phone rang until it hung up. I am adding a star because she is helpful and seems to care, even if there are still other difficulties.
