Prepare to be hassled and run around in circles if you want their uninterested indifferent non-accountable "anonymous" staff to do ANYTHING ! I paid my loan in full about 3 MONTHS ago and after going to the branch to sign their required form to close my account and "assure" PROMPT release of the property lien, my account remains open, no refund of my over payment, no satisfaction or paid in full letter - and lien not cleared. Manager says "they are working on it." Their staff is anonymous, whereabouts undisclosed - they even use stationary without addresses or phone numbers to further avoid accountability. They'll even boldly lie to you IN WRITING. Just outrageous ! Lastly, be certain to read EACH and EVERY single line of THIRD's loan contract FINE PRINT to avoid surprises and their undisclosed terms, tricks - and there are several. Don't even attempt to call their merry-go-round main office - absolute waste of time. Their CEO Stefanski must do commercials ONLY and absolutely nothing else - except maybe counting his money. I will never do business with Third Federal again.

I find the customer service and internal policies of third federal to be harsh and unusable…read moreespecially when you need help without access to your computer. The debit card does not work consistently where Other bank debit cards do. I plan to get rid of third , federal within a few months and go to other banks that have been very pleasant to deal with. Other debit cards allow you to turn them off and on so you can do a quick local search if they are lost. Other banks do not tell you to call back during business hours. Also Other debit cards can offer alternative forms and questions to determine your identity. I found myself stuck out of state with no access to funds not knowing if the 3rd federal debit card did not work because of the reader or if the bank thought I was using it improperly. I did not have access to my computer and could not log into the web site to say what the last deposit date and amount was so access and help were denied. Other bank asks for pin along with normal personal data. Not the first time this bank's debit card has left me stranded even after detailed conversations. Third fed does offer good loan rates but I will not continue to use its other services.
