Or... a cute little stop off the beaten path. Thanks to the coffee roasters in Elma, MB, the cafe has their own blend of coffee. We didn't try it, but the beans smelled lovely. The menu isn't anything too special, but it's a cute little atmosphere and has a decent sized patio. They're licensed! Options are limited, but you can get locally brewed (Neepawa) Farmery beer here. The food menu is your typical chain looking kind of food. Take a look at pics for the menu. Nothing seems to be homemade from what we saw. Overall, a friendly place to stop if you're in the middle of nowhere and need a stop and some food.

Everything inside is of that vintage, except for maybe a couple of items. The selection is no Superstore obviously, but they had all 5 food groups in there (veggies, meat, dairy, grain, and potato chips). Enough to keep you alive for sure. My one complaint would be that the deli section is tiny. I was hoping to buy my lunch there but ended up getting something else from another section.

Every single thing is individually wrapped in plastic. This could easily be solved by providing paper plates or napkins and keeping goods under a glass cloche. Once you get past the packaging, all the products in the case are Sysco-style, mass-produced frozen goods. You're much better off going to Gran's up the street for some real baked goods. Lastly, the coffee is nothing special and even worse, it's served in styrofoam cups. If you can get past all of that, there is some very lovely patio seating out back and it's dog friendly. Hoping that the owner takes a chance and does something great with this place.

That is the one thing I really wish more fast food chains would watch out there. People already have enough heart attacks. The food quality is consistent with other locations, so nothing to fear here.

Nice cozy feel. The waitress was friendly and helpful. For dinner I had the 2 piece chicken and shrimp combo. You can pick 2 sides with this one - I chose fries and coleslaw. Chicken - mmm good. Comfort food at its best. Actually one of the best places I've had in a while. Big Mama's in Omaha (which was recommended by Guy Fieri of DDD) came to mind during my first bite. Prawns - tasted a bit stale (fishy), but there is no ocean here. Can't really blame them. Fries - thin cut. Portion was quite large. Almost too large but I managed to clear it off. Coleslaw - also decent as well. I'd give this place 3.5 stars, and will definitely be back to try other items.

I got in here by following a passageway from the adjacent bar (completely separate establishment). The owners are from Guangdong, and spoke Cantonese. Authenticity test passed. Somewhat. Being from a small town, obviously they won't have access to the same Asian ingredients as establishments in a larger city. So one must obviously cut them some slack. Same with the authenticity. The dishes are comparable to what you'd find in a food court, such as lemon chicken, Singaporean-style rice, wonton soup, deep fried wontons, sweet and sour spare ribs, and chop suey.
