I came here recently and got some dinner. I ordered the regular bowl with spicy tuna, tuna, and Hawaiian Albacore. The flavors weren't the best especially the albacore. I ended up in the bathroom a few times later in the evening too, and I'm pretty sure it was from this meal. The service was good and the restaurant was clean, but I probably won't be back.

Recently, I tried this poke spot in a hot spring day and it was a perfect in between running a bunch of weekend chores. Light, refreshing and delicious. I tried the medium / regular poke bowl (which was very large imo) and it came with 3 scoops of protein and all the toppings you wanted. I had 3 scoops of tuna and 1 scoop of salmon. The tuna had a better flavor and the salmon prices were a bit large for me, but it was still good. All the toppings and the spicy mayo & eel sauces combined really made for a flavor explosion. I really enjoyed my meal. Our server who helped us with the selections was great. She read my mind when it came to adding ginger as a topping and I said "Oh, don't add wasabi" even though she was gesturing to the ginger haha. She knew exactly what I meant; I thought she was super awesome and friendly. I wish I got her name, but overall the service was great. Only downside was that I didn't see a bathroom in the restaurant but I didn't look too closely, best to call the location or check yourself. Thanks for the great meal!

Hidden poke spot in long Beach. We came across this place while driving around Long Beach. Great food and ambiance. The owner is super friendly.

Not bad for a quick poke pickup. This shop is tucked away into a corner of a plaza where you'd really have to keep your eyes peeled for it. I wanted a poke bowl on my way home from work one day and decided to give this place a try. Since it was my first time here, I tried asking the worker for some recommendations on what to put on my bowl but she kept deflecting back to me saying it's whatever I wanted - which is totally valid but I was really hoping she'd tell me what the popular combos are as I normally don't get poke bowls. So I'd give service a 3.5/5. The restaurant is somewhat small so expect a more packed ambiance if it becomes busy. I got my food to go to be on the safe side. The food itself was pretty good. Like many poke bowl spots, it's one of those "build your own bowls" type of restaurants, which is totally fine and gives you the flexibility of choosing what you want. The fish itself didn't taste super fresh but it wasn't bad either. It was still overall good, so I will give that. Overall, I'd still recommend this spot. The food came out good and I'd have a meal with a friend here.

Poke bowl was a 10/10. I went with salmon, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna. I love that they give you the option of salad or rice. I went with 50/50. All the toppings you want. Let's see if I can remember all my toppings. Cucumber, edamame, jalapeño, crab, green onion, fried garlic, sesame seeds with ponzu, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Overall, fish was seasoned well and fresh. I really enjoyed my bowl. Have been here a couple of times and will continue to come here. They offer regular and large bowls. Regular 3 scoops of fish. Large 5 scoops. They have all the fish and toppings all out. It's like subway. You order what you want. Person behind the counter was friendly and polite. Restaurant was clean. It's not very big, but they do have indoor as well as outdoor seating. They also offer Ramen. I want to say you just grab the bag you want and make it yourself. Under $7.

Simple, no-frill poke made with fresh ingredients. Nothing exceptional about the poke, and the portion-size is a bit on the small side, but it still hits the spot. Service is decent and the indoor dining area can accommodate about 15 customers. It's relatively clean.

    1. I chose the Hawaiian style protein for my poke bowl, and they had amazing texture and flavor! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with tables outside and inside! 3. The staff was friendly and made the ordering process easy! 4. Parking was plentiful! Note: This was actually open before 11:30 am on a Sunday! Photo: Thai Tea and Regular Bowl

It's been a while since my last visit. I'm happy they were open when searching for a last minute dinner spot because I was reminded how good this place is. It's a little pricey, however they really do give a lot. The protein scoops (esp spicy tuna) are worth the money. I can't forget to mention the quality...everything was fresh!!! They have unique sauce options. Personally, i'm basic with little to no sauce, but if you like spicy, this place has a variety of options. I am always a fan of "build your own" and seeing all ingredients in front of you. It's a clean a cute spot in a great location with plenty of parking!

The tuna was fresh and tasty! Also, got to love the option for a spam masubi. The person at the front-with glasses- was cool. The only complaint was that we couldn't get an extra empty bowl or plate to split our meal without being charged another bowl. That was ridiculous. Other than that, awesome place.

Love this place- good food and awesome boba! I often call ahead and ask if they still have boba in case the Millikan kids wiped them out.

For 18$, I got a bowl of rice and got lucky if I found a piece of fish. Ridiculous. Never going back.

If you want decently sized portions for cheaper, go somewhere else. Taste is nothing special, don't let the pictures fool you.

There were only 3 workers working during lunch rush hour and some of them seemed a little frazzled (imo). But when it was our turn to order, the servers were really helpful. My husband ordered first, then me. We had 2 different people serving us. The gentleman helping we was very generous on the protein scoop, so I was happy about that. However when it got to my toppings, he gave very little. But I was satisfied with the amount of protein he gave, because some places can be very stingy about how much they give you. I like how they have a set plate such as the Hawaiian bbq chicken and salmon bowl. They also have premade proteins such as the sweet glazed salmon or the tuna luau. They have a variety of choices. The ambiance of this location is nice. There are lots of tables and seats for you to sit and enjoy your meal. My husband and I got ours to go. When we got home, there was too much base for me. I asked for lite rice and my bowl was full of rice. And as mentioned, not enough toppings to my liking. But overall, a good poke place. Definitely a place to check out if you want a variety of selections when customizing your poke.

My most recent visit was about two weeks ago and the experience was consistent with what keeps me coming back. This is one of my go-to spots within The Hanger in Long Beach. It's a straightforward, build-your-own poke spot. I stand in line, look through the display case, choose my proteins, pick my toppings, and pay at the end. I've never had any issues with ordering or wait time. The staff has always been pretty friendly and relatively helpful. Once you get your bowl, you can usually find seating but it can be a little hectic at times. On my latest visit, I ordered a medium poke bowl with tuna, tofu, and crab meat. The fish was fresh, flavorful, well-portioned, and the overall bowl was great. Portions are solid and prices seem fair to me for the quality and location. My one gripe, and the reason this isn't a full five star review, is the menu clarity around the crab meat. It's a bit misleading. It looks like crab is included with the small bowl but it actually counts as one of the three proteins for the medium bowl. I personally wish the crab meat were treated as a topping rather than a protein.

I usually end up here because I love poke and that it is one of the lighter/healthier options in the food court. The portions are good, but the toppings are more on the limited side compared to other nearby poke places. The fish is not the freshest, not sure where they are sources them. My chief complaint are the sauces and their lack of flavor. At my last visit, I asked for the spicy yuzu ponzu. I saw them add it to the bowl, but when I sat down to enjoy, I could not taste anything. It was super bland and on top of that there was absolutely no spice for a spicey sauce. Not sure I was stop here again given the other nearby options.
