I came here already 2times since they opened last week. First time I came because I know this poke time is done by the head chef at Sushi Haruya which is my family's regular weekend-a- go go restaurant. They have 20% off soft opening deal going on now, and upon arrival I saw people were lining up to order their poke bowls. Their menu is simple, easy to understand, and I actually can create lots different bowls by options I would choose from. My first visit, I chose brown rice with salmon, spicy tuna with original poke sauce, Edamame, masago, and as for toppings I chose everything on, which was truly amazing. Unlike other Poke house, their brown rice is soft and flavorful, it was really good. And today, my choice was half salad and half brown rice with Shrimp and Salmon with Hawaiian BBQ sauce, pineapple, Egg, cucumber ginger, Nori.. I was satisfied even better than first time. Their sauce is authentic, one of a kind that you can't find elsewhere because all made by the chef here. Instead of mixing all the ingredients on the bowl, I like to eat off the toppings first as if it's an appetizer for the meal. Then I eat the base with well seasoned proteins, that way I can enjoy the original taste of each ingredient. I will definitely come back to try more options. I love this place! Haven't been in a while because of coronavirus but every time we go, they are always so nice to us and are very willing to give extra rice or extra toppings. They make sure you are well taken care of and the owners are very humble. If you dine in, they make sure to go over to your table and check on you and they will usually also give you a piece of candy. likely the best poke bowl shop in the Dallas area. it's done by the same chef who owns Sushi Haruya in west Plano. the fish to rice ratio is on point! and most of the time the ratio favors the fish more. yellow tail is a choice as well, it's not a common topping amongst other poke shops here. the cuts of fish are on par with sashimi or nigiri. so many times i see poke shops cut corners on fish quality / selection then use the sauce and toppings to mask the shortcuts. the sushi rice is properly prepared with both brown and white rice as options. i consistently go with the same toppings - ginger, wasabi, edamame (it's actually cooked soft!), seaweed salad, and crunch onion. i'll add a spam musubi for guilty pleasure. i work close to Shops of Legacy so i'm always glad for another healthy option to balance out all the steakhouses and texmex joints. read more

I loved all the different choices to choose from and the sauces! It was very good, I also tried the little spam roll and wow! I didn't think I would like it that much but it was so good! The only critique I have is that I kinda wish that maybe they would mix up the stuff first and then give it to you or maybe put it in the bowl to where it would make it easier to mix up. This was my first poke bowl ever and it was pleasing enough for me to go back. The only think I would mention is that I really like ponzu and I needed a bit more. It didn't taste fishy at all to me and even though I had almost every possible topping, it all worked together. I thought I wasn't going to like my wasabi all mixed in, but it was good. I went with a couple of friends and it was my first time here, the restaurant is decorated really cutely with a lot of bright lights and aesthetically pleasing colors. The food is so good!
