I signed up for an introductory pole dancing class because it seemed fun and I wanted to switch up my exercise routine! It was a class that started at 8:15, on a Friday. The company sends out emails that gives very explicit directions on where to park and how to find and access the studio, in addition to linking a video with visual and audio directions, so I had no issues finding anything as everything was really well explained! My taught by Dani, who was a great instructor. Dani went around to sign everyone in, as for our pole experience one on one, so the class could be best tailored to all of us. We were also given a clean exercise mat with plenty of cushion, along with an ethanol spray bottle and towel for cleaning/drying our poles and hands. We then did a very extensive warm up to begin with, followed by working on a spin, during which Dani went around individually to everyone to give tips and help out with modifications as needed. This was very helpful for me, as I was able to ask explicit questions about what muscles to engage and general body positioning. Afterwards, we did a mini choreography a few times to practice what we learnt, followed by a cooldown. During the session, we were given ample opportunity for water breaks, along with cleaning our poles as needed, which I appreciated. The minor cons--the studio is extremely hot. As a result of this, there are several fans always blowing which is very nice, but they tend to be loud. That plus the music, which was turned down during instruction, made it a bit hard to hear Dani at times. Luckily I was towards the front, and didn't miss anything major for directions. The studio itself is extremely nice otherwise though! A great little cubby area for shoes and bags, and a couch/table for waiting for your class to start. The ambiance with lighting and music is also very nice, and there are mirrors everywhere so you can really see yourself getting into different positions. I had a really fun time at the class, and would definitely be a studio for people to consider if they're interested in one of their classes! read more

Ahhh how exciting it was to serendipitously end up at Pole Fitness Seattle! Because I didn't have a car, I picked this studio for its class selection, instructors, and proximity to my hotel. It's pretty easy to book classes online (surprisingly Seattle studios aren't really on Mindbody) by purchasing a class pack and applying it to sign ups. The email reminders are helpful. It's a little difficult to locate the studio in the alleyway of buildings, but they do a great job of providing directions. I arrived early via Uber/Lyft and was greeted by the instructor for Pole Conditioning & Stretching. It was an all-levels class, and the instructor (can't remember her name!) did a great job of explaining moves and providing modifications for each student. Then I took Pole L2 & L3 with Beau, who is a fantastic instructor! Turns out, we have mutual friends. The pole community is such a small world. Definitely more advanced of a class than I expected (good thing I didn't sign up for L4!) and enjoyed the safe and friendly class environment. Will definitely be back here to train next time I'm in Seattle! read more

I attended this studio for over 2 years. I enjoyed the classes and learning how to pole dance, and I highly recommend learning to pole dance. I just suggest learning somewhere else. I struggled with the lack of air conditioning and the small rooms (some poles are so close to a wall that they are unusable if you are over 5'8"). But the big problem with the studio is that they don't seem to care about the students who buy class packages/the students who only attend once a week or less. Incident 1: I broke my foot and was in a boot using crutches for 3 months. I emailed the studio asking an expiration extension on my classes. They told me they could only extend 1 month at most. So I had to sit and let classes expire while my foot healed. Incident 2: During Seattle's 2019 snow storm, I was snowed in for almost 2 weeks. I emailed asking for an extension. The woman refused to extend past a week with a rude response. She looked at my class attendance history and told me that I "have not attended regularly." She told me that since I attended 1 Saturday class in the past 7 months, I should be able to attend the upcoming 3 Saturday classes. When I emailed a different workout studio (not for pole dancing), and I asked them to extend my classes. They extended my classes by 3 months no questions asked. That's 2 months more than Pole Fitness Seattle extended my classes for a broken foot! Overall I lost around 7 classes. It's not even about the money, it just feels like they only care about my money. read more

I absolutely LOVED the twerk class with Tricia. She's amazing and her class is so much fun. My friend and I signed up through class pass and we had no idea what to expect. Tricia is very laid back and made sure everyone had a great time. She taught us all basic moves and then slowly we turned it into choreography. The class was upbeat and encouraging, we never felt judged at all! We will definitely be coming back, honestly we had the time of our lives! The studio itself is kinda hard to find. The entrance is through a barbed wire gate, you have to really look hard for the sign. There's plenty of parking. They have their own lot and there's street parking available if that's easier. read more

But today? 6 people sharing 3 poles in a small class room. Instructor on one pole, which means 6 people sharing 2 poles. It doesn't seem right. Ever since I purchased the Groupon in March, I've been hooked! (ha, HA!) From the Intro Series, which was two classes a week for four weeks, to Intermediate I, it's been a blast. All the teachers are super friendly and very encouraging. I wish I had more time to go regularly. I've seen my former classmates do amazing things. I can't wait to go back and try other classes like Aerial Yoga, Burlesque and other dancing classes like Twerk, Santa Baby (holiday themed), Chair, Heels, etc. read more

I'm totally hooked after only one class! It's been on my to-do list to sign up through my ClassPass account and I'm a glad I made time for this! Parking is pretty much non-existent so plan ahead and get there early. The studio is tucked away; looks for a sign hooked on the fence at the end of the small parking lot. They suggest you wear yoga attire which I did, but if you really want to get the most out of feeling sexy, wear some booty shorts and a cute tank. The better you feel in your clothes, the more comfortable you'll be letting loose for the hour. Also, knee pads are DEFINITELY a thing you should bring if you have them. They have some to borrow but I wouldn't rely on that. Optional to bring platform, stiletto heels as well (not your going out ones though, you know which ones I'm talking about). I attended the beginner class, which you must take a few of before moving on to the advanced levels. The practice started with a short five minute warm-up, after which we were taught a choreography. I was amazing at how thoughtful, patient and technical Holly was with us 3 ladies! The intimate setting is non-judgmental and perfect for anyone. read more

I visit dance studio all over America regularly. During my multiple visits here I've experienced some of the most inauthentic and ingenuine dance teachers and students so far. The fakest dance studio I've ever visited. I never felt welcome. Fake smiles are exactly that. Integrity and interaction is what matters. This dance studio does it purely for instagram and money... not for the students or to connect with their communities. They wanna be hot so badly they dont care to maintain their business relationships with customers . I didnt learn much here but what I already knew....what I did learn during my times visited is what I'm NOT looking for out of a dance studio. Russian Olga should really reconsider her business approach it's obviously about the money and not anything else. lots of fake reviews from students looking to be teachers here. Olga is way too eager for money she opens up dance studios before she even has clients to fill the classes... she doesn't run anything she's never there..the students and teachers do she just supplies a space. read more

Wow, okay, so I signed up for a class here on ClassPass. Drove to their location. Could not find it for ages, and it's in a sketchy neighborhood. Called their number, it was disconnected. Finally some people at a car dealership by the supposed location told me they had moved and gave me the new location. Drove there, and their studio was locked! Their new number on their door also didn't work. What a waste of my time, effort, and credits. They have tons of classes listed on ClassPass too. How utterly unprofessional. read more

I'm smiling as I write this because it makes me happy thinking about it. It's so much fun! I feel like a little kid playing at the playground. I've just finished the beginner classes and can now move onto the more advanced classes. I really love how the instructors break down each movement and are willing to help each student out if they have a hard time getting it. At the end of the beginner drop-in classes the instructor will do a dance for the group to show them how far pole fitness can get them and it is quite impressive. The spins, climbing, hanging upside, looking all hot and sexy, makes each and every girl want to get to that level. Reasons why you should take pole dancing classes here: -They teach you movements not only on the pole, but on the floor as well, that make you look and feel sexy! Meow!! Purrrrr.... - It is a good workout. I can see the abs and arm muscles on these veteran chicks. - There are many varieties of classes you can take including an aerial yoga class which was also fun. - It is a great way to turn your man on and keep him out of the strip clubs. Maybe. -You never know when you're gonna go broke so if a time ever comes when you do, you got some skills to go make that money money money.... It is conveniently located on Airport Way at Holgate St across from the Office Depot. The building is right next to the freeway so it is quite loud, but no fret, once they blast the music and you're in your zone, you wouldn't even notice the noise. They have limited parking and most times you should be able to find a spot. I understand time flies when you're having fun so sometimes classes run past the hour so students for the next class may arrive and there won't be any parking, and class will start a little late. I think you can park in the Office Depot lot though. All in all, love the laid back personalities of the instructors and will continue to come here and bring sexiness to my life. read more

I've been attending here for several weeks now. I started with a StrangerPerks deal for the intro series (4 weeks, 1 hr per week, teaches you basic spins, holds, and floorwork) then gradually "leveled up" through their system. For example, you have to do the beginner series before you can start the Intermediate classes. You also need to take a workshop on inversions before attending the Inversions 101 classes. This all makes it absolutely clear that you have the basic moves down before advancing to the next level and keeps you safe from injury. I really like this system, but I'm also a to-do list/check box kind of person so it may just play to my most comforting habits :) There's a nice mix each week of intermediate, inversions, and other open classes that you can start to attend post-beginner series. Some classes are women-only, some are coed. There are classes where you should wear heels, and some where you can go barefoot. Some classes build strength, others build flexibility, while most of them include at least some technique if not have that as the focus. My favorite classes so far have been Creative Flow and the Power Pole Conditioning (technique and strength, there!) since they've helped me get past a fitness plateau I had reached with my previous routine (which was primarily yoga). I also like the Stretch & Flexibility class because I'm really trying to get into a splits, lately. In the time since I started attending about 3 months ago, they've added weekend classes and expanded their overall class offerings, so it seems like they're doing well for themselves! They just bought some air conditioning units, which will really help during this heat wave. I also heard that the studio will be getting larger soon, and expanding to some aerial hammocks for flexibility and restoration type classes. All in all, this is a great place to attend. All of the teachers have unique styles but adhere to the safe and sane curriculum I mentioned in my first paragraph. Everyone is welcoming and makes learning new moves and bodily sensations fun. They also give you good tips on handling the bruising that is inevitable from working with a giant metal object!! I also enjoy the one-off workshops - Heidi Coker was my favorite teacher thus far in the workshops, but I'm looking forward to the upcoming workshop on twerking! Talk about stepping outside of my comfort zone in a safe and encouraging environment :) read more

I want to emphasize that this review is about the total experience of this studio. I took the intro to pole series here. The instructor, Cynthia, was great, Knowledgable and encouraging. The only thing odd was during the warm-ups she put the music so loud that nobody could possibly hear her. The classes are usually 10+ people and there are only 6(or 7?) poles, so you usually have to wait for a turn. I'm sure in other classes people get their own poles because they're smaller. It might be nice to have more classes and limit the classes to the number of poles there are. The studio is also in a bizarre location under the freeway so it gets loud and almost shakes from the cars. Again- the instruction is great! read more

Extremely poor customer service. Rude staff/admin. This is not a review for their classes, as I have only done one private lesson from a guest instructor there. I did a private lesson with one of the guest instructors. Nowhere does it state that Pole Fitness Seattle charges a room rental fee for private lessons. I only found out about this after discovering a surprise $25 fee on top of my payment for the actual private lesson. After finding this, I discovered that I was charged $70 for a guest workshop that I did not get into. I purchased the workshop to be put on the waitlist. Their policy states that they would contact you if you got into the class--I never received any notification, so I assumed I did not get in. If you don't get into a class, you should be refunded (this is standard at other fitness studios). I tried to get my refund from them, and they were beyond rude and unprofessional. They put the blame on me for not checking my account and claim that I DID get into the workshop when in fact I know I DID NOT get into the workshop. On my MindBody account, under Visit History, that workshop is not listed anywhere. If I did get into the workshop, it would show up on my account under Visit History and it would say "No Show" or "Absent" under the status of that class. But nothing is there. Under my Accounts info section, it lists the workshop as UNUSED to this day. I tried to kindly and professional get my refund back and was only met with extreme rudeness and condescending accusations. I provided all the hard proof that I in fact did not get into the class, yet they claim that I was. I tried to contact the studio owner and she never responded to me. In the end, I had to file a dispute through my credit card company and they are handling that now. read more

I am a transfer student from California, and PFS has welcomed me with open arms since I arrived in April! what i love about the studio is that they have a clear cut curriculum for all the different classes they offer (lyra and pole mainly) and because of this, students are able to develop a strong foundation to help them with more advanced classes later. I have felt myself grow so much stronger and so much more flexible since starting here. The studio is super supportive of everyone that comes in, and they offer such a wide range of different classes to make us all well rounded pole dancers (from basics to inversions to floorwork to flow work). I absolutely love coming here and it is always worth it for me to drive from Tacoma to Seattle for classes! read more

Read about this place and thought it sounded great. Turns out they had a groupon for a class. My boyfriend bought it and called and emailed the studio to ask for a time I could go to the class. No one responded so he called again the next day and was greeted by a really unhelpful and rude girl who just directed him straight to another email address. They let him know later that the classes were full. I can't speak for the classes but the service sounds appalling and I'm embarrassed my sweet boyfriend had to experience that. I met Emily in Las Vegas during Pole Instructor Certification Class. She has the kindest personality and is a pleasure to be around. She takes students safety very seriously and is a great role model for other Pole Instructors. I recommend any of my students and friends to her if they are in the Seattle area because I know they will be very well taken care of and have a great time!! I've been meaning to write this for awhile. I've been coming here for about half a year now, and have only great things to say. I started with the intro to pole classes, and have been hooked since! I take some pole classes and a lot of Lyra (aerial hoop) classes All the instructors are really helpful and enthusiastic, and the students are friendly too, which makes for a really welcoming environment. I always have a ton of fun in class and leave feeling better than I came in. There is a strong emphasis on technique, conditioning, and safety. The classes have proper warm up and cool down and lots of attention to detail from the instructors.Something I was worried about when starting was if my prior knee injuries would be an issue. The instructors have worked with me and other students to modify moves and stretches so it is accessible for different fitness and skill levels. In flexibility class, we are taught how to stretch safely, and there are conditioning classes to help gain strength and minimize risk of injury. Overall, if you're on the fence, definitely try it out! read more

I was traveling and in Seattle for a few days so I called and scheduled a private lesson with Emily. It was an amazing lesson. She taught me new moves and gave me pointers for cleaning up my spins, as well as pointers for learning to dance. I felt very comfortable from the beginning and Emily was always there and careful to spot me on the inverted moves. Her teaching style was great. She explained things in a clear manner that made following along to moves so easy (this means a lot because I normally cant tell my left hand from my right). The studio is equipped with both static and spin poles all the poles are 45s. Highly recommend this studio for polers of all levels. If you live in the area and are looking for a fun work out this is the place to be. read more

I took a drop-in basic spins and climbs class that was 75 min long. I expected it to be mostly spins and climbs but it was mostly a lot of rolling on the ground in a small room (elbow and knee pads would have been very useful) and there were a lot of us. I enjoyed the little time we spent on the 1 spin we learned and the climb but wish it had been the focus of the class. read more

So we got a deal on groupon or living social (whichever) a while back. About 6 of us girls came together. Th teacher is a sweet gal. You don't take away much actual skill/knowledge out of this one class so don't expect to walk out a pro pole fitness dancer lol. It's really just for fun. It's pretty short buuuuut it's a a lot of dancer fun and laughs - a good class to take with friends as entertainment so I recommend to try at least once if you can get it at a discounted price. read more

Eeeek....I'm still so excited I can't stop talking about last weekend! For my sister's 8 gal Bachelorette Party we decided to start the weekend with some early morning Pole classes. Problem is, we couldn't find a studio that could accommodate our timeline and need for early morning classes. Also, one of my gals is "curvy" and Pole Fitness Seattle was able to accommodate her! (she had a blast, BTW). Emily was fast to respond to my e-mail via her website and I booked and paid for our party! The location is a little odd, but once we got inside it was very warm, discrete, and surprisingly comfortable! Yael was our instructor, and seriously, we all might have girl-crushes on her! She was just perfect in every way......she warmed us up, made us feel sexy, complimented us, worked with my "curvy" friend, and even gave us a demo of her advanced moves when we were through. We all left absolutely amazed that she just had a baby! Yael is clearly passionate about what she does and it shows! Needless to say, we all left feeling a little more sexy, a little more confident......and a whole lot SORE :-) Any plans to open a studio in the Northend? (Lynnwood) We'd be loyal students! read more

Re: Aerial yoga. This class is a joke. Half of the silks were not tied appropriately (tied for trapeze work), so all of the positions were incredibly uncomfortable bc you have a giant knot of fabric in your spine! Half of the positions weren't even feasible bc of that. End of class arrives and "oh some of you will have to do shavasana on the floor bc the silks aren't tied right" I did not come to aerial yoga to do shavasana on the floor. If I had paid for this class instead of gone with fitmob I would be requesting a full refund. So unprofessional!!! read more

I've enjoyed the classes I've taken here, but I'm pretty frustrated with Pole Fitness at this point. I signed up and paid for for the intro series through Groupon. It was canceled. The studio worked with me to figure out another way I could come take classes since that was the only time slot I could take an intro series and Groupon refused to issue a refund. I appreciated that and figured, I'll give it another go. Since then, I have signed up for five classes, and four out of five classes I have signed up for have been cancelled - usually the day or night before. So, I guess to sum up my experience: this place is cool but unreliable. read more

Emily visited Anchorage this past weekend and did a wonderful job of teaching us some amazing moves, transitions and floor work. She is such a sweetheart and explained everything thoroughly. I am writing this review not because I have taken a pole dance class at Pole Fitness Seattle but I attended pole party by them. I had a lot more fun then I ever expected and my perception of "pole dancing" have changed drastically. One of my close friends from college is getting married at the end of the month and I am one of the bridesmaids in the wedding. Her maid of honor decided to host a bachlorette/ pole party at her condo last weekend. The instructor, Emily, arrived and set up the pole in the living room area. She was so sweet and not at all what I expected. The first thing we did was a "sensual warm up" and I actually learned how to move my body and toss my hair so that it looks like I'm not a fool. She explained everything and was very sweet despite some of the other girls laughing and having a little to much wine prior to her arriving. Then we learned two "spins" that were actually a lot harder then anything I ever imagined. It was so much fun and we all laughed so hard watching each other trying to look just like Emily demonstrating. Afterwords she brought out the heels so we could all try them on and take pictures. (I hope to god nothing ends up online) Then she did and actual dance demo for us all to see what she teaches in class. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. More like Cirque du Soleil then what you would see in a strip club. I was impressed. Still not sure if I could take a class (or at least never tell anyone, I'm more curious then ever) but I have so much respect then ever before. I just want to begin by saying this review is not for our instructor she was amazing, this is for how this business operates and the lack of managing skills. I originally had booked a private 90 minute class for a bachelo r ette party in July. We paid the $100 deposit and that all was good. Now just know that we were on a very tight schedule and our class was to start at 12:30pm. So we arrive at 12:15pm no one is there. I try calling thinking aye there are inside and don't hear us knocking (couldn't ring the door bell cause it was missing). After Facebook messaging, texting and emailing I finally get a frantic call for the instructor. Supposedly the person who was to do our class moved it into her schedule without telling her. She showed up about 1:20pm. We got started, she side that someone will contact me in regards to the mix up and she didn't collect money. Fine I am good with that. Our class was only 1 hour and it set our time line way out of whack. Also there was another party waiting 45 minutes. I loved our instructor and she did a fabulous job with such short notice, but I don't appreciate that I still haven't received a call or email! I understand accidents happen,but a simple I am sorry we messed up would be apprecuated. I will never do business with rhis company again and I suggest you look elsewhere. read more
