I learned of the whole Jeff Farmer situation through a recommended YouTube video. This police department runs itself more like a gang of thugs than anything. Try not abusing citizens when there is no crime. Not giving an ID when a person isn't committing a crime nor being pulled over for a traffic offense does not require giving ID. It is abuse of power by police officers, and calls into question the officers' understanding of the Constitution and other laws. It makes people want to avoid the city of Lufkin, Texas, since people won't feel safe from false police accusations. read more
