Went here with friends to attend a meat raffle. I was here one other time for a craft show. The room used for both is spacious and bright. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bar is open to the general public. I always thought these types of club were for members only. If we lived closer I could see dropping in here for a drink. You were offered Crepes,eggs, pancakes,baked french toast,fruit and sausage.Also a variety of cookies and cakes for dessert.A nice size hall that has a bar area for alcohol beverages. Attended a Meat Raffle. Included in the admission price was unlimited wine, beer and pop. However, this is the first Meat Raffle I have been to that didn't serve free pizza. It was available at first for $2 per slice then for some unknown reason the price suddenly went up to $3. They raffled off a lot of meat. They had 40 spins of the wheel plus multiple spins at the end until all the meat was gone . I had a ticket for every one of them but came up totally empty. The nice thing about Meat Raffles is that you can bring your own snacks and food to share with your friends. Some groups go crazy with the massive amount food they bring. Some tables are like potluck dinners. We will continue to seek out and go to Meat Raffles in the area but if they aren't serving pizza, included in the price of admission, I'll just bring my own. If you have never been to a Meat Raffle, gather a group of friends and go. read more

Beer battered cod fish fry was a religious experience. Like finding the Holy Grail. Ive known for ages how good their fish is, but don't live close anymore. Believe me, I've been searching too. Places like Hoak's and Danny's South I swear just get whatever whitefish is a bargain that day and call it cod. Way too chewy and fishy to be cod very often. This was so mild and sweet and light and flaky and the beer batter was razor thin, friend golden crisp. Just enough oil to make it insanely delicious without upsetting my temperamental GI system. Their rye bread and butter was like you got decades ago. Service was wonderful, too. I'm on Cloud Nine. read more

Worst fish fry in Buffalo. It was wet and tasteless. It was like broccoli water. Avoid the Polish Fish Fry at all costs.

Been here a few times for special events and food is always good! Came most recently with a reservation for 3 for Mother's Day Brunch. For $17/person they had a large buffet with many Polish (and non-Polish) options, desserts, punch and juice bar, and coffee. All the food was hot and really good. My favorite was the kluski with eggs, crepe, and potato pancakes- the potato pancake especially was PERFECT! Everything else was very good too! Service was lacking though. Considering the hall was full, they were very short staffed, only saw 4 waitresses. However I won't let this deter me from coming back as good is always great and service has been better the other times I've been here. read more

I've been here before and have never been disappointed. Stopped with a buddy 2 weeks ago and had a seat at the bar . This is a regular working mans kind of place. We got a pitcher of Blue and asked for menus. The food is run by an outside caterer and it's Fridays only. The bartender gladly waved over a waitress. We ordered 2 breaded fish. Surprisingly it came with a cup of chicken soup that was tasty. Shortly after, she brought out the dinners. We had a large piece of fish, frys, mac salad, potato salad, slaw and a slice of rye. All the sides were homemade. In Buffalo standards, this is a hands down kick butt fish fry! In the past I received a piece of cake for dessert instead of a cup of soup. It's probably something the caterer throws in depending on what they have. Needless to say, I feel it's one of Buffalos best fish frys. read more

My husband and I and our neighbors are giving this establishment one star because that is the lowest rating. We had the more horrible fish fries ever! We have eaten here in the past and the food was good. We arrived at 4:45, waited at the bar and was seated at 6 pm. We promptly ordered and kept asking and checking if we were forgotten. The numerous apologies ranged from how busy it is during Lent, to they had a lot of take out orders to fill to it will only be a few more minutes. Our waitress brought us bread but we had no bread plates so we just buttered our bread and ate it! We all wanted to leave but we were so hungry. My dinner napkin was wrinkled and had had a spot that looked like steak remnants on it. Our meals didn't come until 7 and N O T worth the wait! Three of us ordered German potato salad and sweet and sour cabbage that was room temperature. My husband's fish fry was piping hot and his fries were good. Our neighbors fried fish was greasy. My broiled fish was barely warm. They offered to make more fish for our neighbors and reheat mine which we all refused as it was late. I ordered coffee which was they brought with our drink orders. I drank half and never was offered more to warm it up let alone a second cup. They took my meals off the bill and that was the best they could do. Why did they keep seating people if they couldn't serve them? We are NEVER returning here again. read more

Large portion of fish fry with a,ton of sides. Choice of potato, come else, macaroni salad, potato salad, the bread, salad, plus dessert usually for around twelve bucks. The service is good. There is not a ton of ambiance, but it's just a plain banquet hall, really. You can have a,nice conversation with dinner, too. It can get busy after five or so. i will make sure to tell my friends at olcott and paulters this winter that out of town folks are not welcome. parked my shelby at sept. 14 cruise and in an unmarked entrance i guess. first time the a hole asked for it to be moved he said he knew the number to the depew police and he could call. when i got to my car a bunch of your polish princes were threatening to move it too. no we will not be back. you can take the pole out of poland, but you can,t take the polock out of them. read more
