We said was it okay to walk around and if we knew exactly what we wanted could we just pay for it. The sales associate who was at the door looked us and down and said no they would not have time. It was so upsetting to be racially profiled as a black woman yet again but this time my daughter got to witness the disrespect her mother was experiencing. My daughter was so angry and told me just go get your tote mom and don't allow the sales associate to stop you from treating yourself. I explained to my daughter it was the principle of it all to me and that the Louis Vuitton Australia store did not deserve my money because they obviously did not want or think I was a viable sale. I have purchase 4 bags from Hawaii to California to Oregon, but I guess being black in Australia I was not deemed fit to be served. Louis Vuitton do better!

I am very bad at buying two things: shoes and bags. I hate shopping for them. I never know what looks good and I am a shocker when it comes to deciding what colour is best. Inevitably, I'll always choose wrong. The staff at Strandbags took all the stress out of bag shopping and I even walked out with a new wallet as well. The lady who served me asked questions to find out exactly what I needed the bag for and helped me think about what would be a good colour. When I went to buy the bag she saw my falling-to-pieces five year old wallet and chaperoned me to the wallet section. This sounds like she easily could have been pushy but she seemed genuine and helpful. She took me through the range and I eventually chose a nice red leather wallet with enough card pockets to fit the tall pile I've built up over the years. I spent a lot of money that day in the store but I also got items that I have used countless times and that match everything. I was super happy with the service.

In the last 2 years I have brought 2 suitcases and a handbag, all of which broke in some way or another. The suitcases were under warranty, so that was okay. The staff were great, and things were fixed quickly. The handbag was not under warranty, even though it only broke like two months after I brought it. For some reason I expected a bag I paid $89 for to last longer than 2 months. Silly me.

I was desperate for the dress and ended up not buying it due to last minute work commitments so i wouldn't be able to pick it up before I left. I am definitely going back to buy other unique pretty feminine amazing stuff they have. A bit pricey personally (literally the only negative, but it's a brand so what do I expect) but some of their things are so amazing I'd rather live off noodles for a month than go without. Their stuff is so pretty and slightly weird in only the best way and I haven't seen a shop like it. Give it a go!

I found the jewellery was a little expensive but a lot of it was real gold so I guess that's fair enough. There was still a massive discount compared to what you could pay in stores. Sisca is one of the more successful boutiques along Burke Road. It has been open for a while now…read morebecause I remember girls at school raving about the dresses, so it was a bit of a blast from the past to go back here and check it out again. First, I would like to mention the service. In boutique fashion stores it is always a worry that you may end up with a snobbish and rude sales assistant. Thankfully this wasn't the case at Sisca at all. The sales assistant was lovely, helpful and quick to greet me. I was also impressed by how she was managing the store - she was quick to help customers and more than happy to have a chat with me about the opening hours. The clothes are fantastic, think bright oranges and blues for the coming summer, and there is a wide range of cocktail dresses, maxis, shirts and skirts. Sisca stocks some great brands including Minkpink, Cooper St, True Religion and Wish.
