I'm going to qualify this review by saying that I was fairly inebriated while at Polito's, but what I remember is that the pizza was very, very good. I had 2 (huge) slices, one pepperoni and one chicken club. The pepperoni was above average, but the chicken club was the best I've ever had. The food is very good, the pizza especially. I've eaten here at least 20 times, and the food is consistent. I like their garlic knots, loaded with garlic and butter. The atmosphere is super casual, usually a lot of high-school or college age people. But when it comes to a slice of Cheese Sausage and Mushroom, it's pretty pedestrian. Any given night the establishment is filled with boys and girls sipping orange juice and Vodka from pointer water bottles and feasting on pizza thats been sitting under a heating lamp longer than an incubated egg. Lots of interesting topping such as "macaroni", if your buzzed enough you might try it but other wise steer clear. If you a person who likes pizza, then your in luck...especially if you like a bunch of shit on top of your pizza. Polito's is a kick ass pizza place because it has any kind of topping you can think of. Mac and Cheese is excellent but very filling. My friends and I ordered a couple different pizzas and we asked for no onions on one but sure enough there were onions on it. But the good people at Politos cooked up another pizza on the double so we got a free pizza out of it. That i just excellent service right there.... anyone who gives me free pizza is ok in my book. We had so much pizza..usually 2 slices of that stuff can get you full. Polito's is actually pretty cheap for the amount of food you get for your meal. The slices are Godzilla like and when you add on the amazing toppings your in for a treat. I resisted trying a Politos pizza for a while, but when I gave in I was very glad to have tried it! We like the garlic knots but sometimes they can be a little over cooked on top. I wish they had other options for drinks like pitchers or even a serve yourself soda machine. I do like the price and their support of local youth. I have been going there for a couple of years now { Generally get it to go } the only complaint I have is CLEAN THE PLACE !!!!! When I go in there are generally two people behind the counter { Not counting cooks } with some time on there hands. The tables are always dirty and the floors are nasty. My family walked into the restaurant, and there were young, wild children screaming and running around everywhere with no adult in sight. There were at least eight or nine of them. We went to the counter to order, and the person working the counter was an impolite young woman. Having never been there before, my family wasn't quite sure what the best thing on the menu was. We asked the young woman what she recommended, as we were the only people in line. "The pizza," she said bluntly. Oh man, really? At a pizza place? Wow. We each got a slice of pizza, soda, and whatever their variation of garlic bread was. We took our cups over to the soda machine, trying not to trip over the children running and screaming around the restaurant, and the floor and machine were completely sticky. Way worse than I'd ever seen before. The machine must have not seen any water or cleaning supplies for at least a month. We seated ourselves in a booth, also sticky, trying to ignore the rampant children who had now managed to conjure up some bouncy balls and were wildly throwing them all around the restaurant. All the while, the young woman behind the counter was staring down at her cell phone, obviously earning her hourly wage. After about 10 minutes, we got our pizza and garlic bread. The garlic bread was fairly good, similar to Fazoli's, which was what is to be expected from a restaurant of this price point. But the pizza was another thing; terrible and bland. Little to no sauce, cardboard-like crust, and cheese that must have been made out of water instead of milk. My family quickly finished our tasteless food, trying to get away from the mass of children that had over taken the restaurant. 1/10 would recommend. You're much better off going to Bill's pizza right down the street. read more
