The Tacos Al Carbón were outstanding: grilled fajita beef with sautéed poblano and onion on flour tortillas topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice were just right, and the plantains with coconut sauce were a perfect addition. The bartender also recommended a Stone Delicious IPA, which made the short wait enjoyable. We grabbed a Tamarindo agua fresca and bolitas de yuca for the road--light, flavorful, and perfect for the drive. Great food, great service, and a great find near the airport. The Pupusas come with some pickled cabbage which is a great addition and the fried Yucca came with a cabbage salad which was also quite enjoyable. We also got chips with a black bean salsa/dip that was excellent. We were there on a 93 degree day and the restaurant was cool inside with some fans running to keep the air moving. Parking is limited for the center but the neighborhood across the road has street parking in a pinch. I really enjoyed the experience and will absolutely be back to try some more items.
