I live in Denmark and ordered some items to be delivered at my office, while still keeping my billing address as my private home.
This resulted in an extremely unprofessional thread of emails with Ronald (Head of Customer Service), in which I was forced to pay the VAT that the shop wrongfully didn't charge at the time of purchase because they stated that my company didn't have a valid VAT.
I didn't order from a company billing address, but simply put my company's address for delivery as it's where I spend most of my day and therefore more convenient for me to receive a package. So I ask, what if I had ordered to a kiosk or some other random address..??
After a very arrogant back and forth with Ronald, I still paid the VAT they asked and I didn't get so much as an email saying thank you or apologising for my inconvenience.
If this is the level of customer service from the Head of that department, I fear to see how his subordinates treat clients.
If you order anything online with these guys, make sure you DON'T set your office (or any address linked to a company in fact!) as a delivery address. Otherwise, you might be in for an unpleasant surprise. read more
