After researching many local contractors, we selected Central Maryland Sunrooms. This reputable company is family owned and has served the area for many years. They do their own installation meaning they control the most important part of the job. It's one reason their work is done so well. We hired this company for the following work: (1) to remodel our home-built porch into a modern and beautiful sunroom, (2) to build us a side porch to cover an exit door that had none. (They did such a good job, it is hard to tell it is an add on.), and (3) to replace our bow window and front door with units of higher quality. They did a beautiful job transforming all of these. They worked quickly, showed up reliably, kept us informed, and cleaned up after themselves daily. This company is professional and reasonably priced. In the near future, we will engage their services again to replace all of the home's windows and interior doors. Kiser and Sons are so good at their job we've decided to make them our go-to contractors for all of our future house remodeling needs. We highly recommend them.

After reading numerous reviews on Angie's List, I knew I'd be in good hands with Baxter. They're a top-rated company with numerous service awards. Their estimate came in higher than the others but it was well worth it. There are some things you don't want to cut corners with and refinishing hardwood floors is one of them. I'd contemplated doing this myself and renting the equipment but figured it was best to leave this to the pros. Worrying about dust containment alone was enough to give me a minor panic attack :) The owner, Grant, demonstrates superior customer service and professionalism. He's also very easy to talk with and takes his time to explain the process, timeframes and sets realistic expectations. They also use water-based environmentally friendly products which produce less odors/toxins. This is a really nice bonus. The price came to just under $3k for approx. 850 SQ FT of hardwood floors and included everything (repairs, baseboard replacement, sanding, varnish, filler to keep for future use, etc.). There were no added costs and the work was done in a few days. Grant was communicative throughout the process and even stopped by after the work was done to drop off extra wood filler and explain the best way to clean the floors. Bonnie at Dun-Rite spent time going through the process and answering all of our questions. She was great at following up with the lender and really helped move things along. It was above and beyond what you would expect from the contractor's side of things. Once work started, things moved quickly. It was clear that Scott is passionate about his work and ensuring that the homeowner has a positive experience. He was reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. He showed up when he said he would, did good work, and ensured that he cleaned up after himself each and every day. We had never used a contractor prior to our experience with Dun-Rite, but my understanding is that our experience with Dun-Rite is not the experience a lot of other contractors provide. In my bathroom, it was a complete renovation; all I kept was the toilet so everything else was new. The guys installed a new floor, vanity, lights, shower, shelves, mirror, medicine cabinet, and curtain. The entire project took two weeks. Kras Development is my new favorite contractor & I know from experience that a great contractor is hard to find.
