It was also only a 10-minute walk from my hotel. All signs pointing to a great meal and experience. What a disappointment! As I approached the restaurant, there was a young men in black with menus inviting me to come on in. I asked him if I could have a table at the balcony and he quickly brought me to the perfect spot. That's where this great experience began and ended. It was a great place to sit and watch the world go by on the street below. I really enjoyed that. My stomach has been a little queasy the last day or so which is quite normal when I travel, so I decided that it might be best to order something kind of neutral. I ordered wonton soup with shrimp wontons. The soup was nothing special. Some broth with very little else other than the wontons. No vegetables other than a couple of pieces of onion and scallipns, no noodles, no nothing. What was even more disappointing was that the waiter never checked back in with me one time to see how it was or if I wanted something else. So I did not feel totally ripped off, I sat for a while after I finished my soup to enjoy the view. I kept looking for my waiter for the check but he was nowhere to be found. I saw him off in the distance a couple of times but I could not grab his attention. So finally I asked somebody else to help me I was tempted to not leave any tip at all but I know these waiters make very little and so I gave him 10% which is cheap for me but he really did not deserve that! I left unsatisfied and disappointed and I cannot recommend this place to anyone else. They have been around for a long time and there were a lot of people there so either I ordered the wrong thing or people are not as discriminating as I am when it comes to Chinese food. After all, I grew up in New York and they have an amazing Chinatown with amazing food! The only redeeming factor was that is just a few minutes from the Palace of Fine Arts where I'm going tonight to see the Ballet Folklorico, which I heard is fantastic. Hopefully it'll take my mind off that lousy soup. Btw... Cost close to $10 which is the same thing I pay in the United States which is unusual for here. Most things are much cheaper. So much for Hong King. Sent from AOL on Android

We got the shrimp, chicken fried rice and sesame chicken. I got an appetizer of the chicken wrapped in lettuce. For drinks we got the Jamaican punch. For dessert we got the chocolate cake and vanilla bean ice cream We took leftovers as again even though the special was to share between two people about four good of eaten. Everything was amazing. Clean bathroom. Seating upstairs and downstairs. Service was fast in the beginning but slowed up as it got busy but very attentive. Please beware like every place in CDMX English is limited but you can scan the QR code for English menu. Meal was way cheaper than what we would have paid in NYC.

This is a large dimly lit restaurant that is a popular modern Asian theme chain for visitors or…read moreresidents that want to experience "Chinese" food. Probably those that liken Benihana's to traditional Japanese. The decor is flaming homosexual meets Pat Benatar's closet from the Back-To-The-Future 1980's. Mexican servers wearing black silk Chinese Chef uniforms with little red knot buttons don't help the illusion. The visually appealing black background menu is vast and could possibly appeal to all palates. These plenty of paid creativity and pro photos too good looking to be true, for top 40 Chinese American dishes were successfully developed by the greedy creative son of a Chinese restaurant owner (spinning in his grave) and a bald Jewish lawyer. But hey Ma they also have sushi! Lots of shrimp, pork, probably frozen fish and vegetables with sweetened sauces (or flavored mayonnaise) in squeeze bottles conjured up by R & D Chefs wearing white lab coats at the deep fat fryer station. Tired steamed dumplings in sweet soy, fried shrimp coated in gluey sweet and sour sauce, ramen noodles in instant soup stock with a few scallions, and weak cocktails complete the package. If you look long enough you'll find something pleasing for the average diner. If you're an Asian Foodie you'll need to be knocked out, dragged and tortured by sharpened bamboo stakes through your nails to dine here...like I was.
