When I first…read moremoved into the building the management was very intrusive .. constantly checking down the hallways for smoking, marijuana use, excessive noise from TVs and stereos. Everyone was painted with the same brush .. you were bad and had to prove yourself! The building was not secure .. prostitutes, druggies, and street people were able to enter. Since then I saw great improvements being made: the management style changed, the building was routinely cleaned, and the choice of prospective tenants changed. The latter years (more recently) I saw real improvements. There was a stable maintenance staff who would promptly take care of problems. They had morning meetings with management. They were pleasant and friendly to the tenants. The building, window frames and balconies were painted. Suites were renovated with decent laminate flooring. Management took steps to make the building more safe and secure. One of the outside stairwells has always been a problem being favoured by the homeless and drug users. (This is typical of the North Shore area as it gets later at night). The suites at Chateau Gardens are not your usual apartment layout. They are very spacious: large living rooms, balconies and bedrooms. All the time I lived there, I never heard of anyone having bedbugs in their apartment. It's always easy to look at the negative: blame problems on this and that. I thoroughly enjoyed living in my apartment at Chateau Gardens.

One never replied, the other replied after 5 days. We found You Pack We Haul. One phone call and some texting was all it took. Timmy Johnston, the owner, was professional and very clear about the terms. The price was based on the amount of time required to move. He came and looked at the apartment, and we scheduled a move date, three days out. (the one moving company who did reply couldn't do it for 2 weeks) Timmy gave us an estimate, and the final cost was less than the estimate. Timmy kept in touch by text, confirming the move date/time, reminding us a day ahead of time, and also let us know that he might be early, depending on the prior move. His crew moved everything quickly and carefully. My daughter said "give him 5 stars!". Fair price, great communication, on time, careful, and professional.
