Three days and nights of yoga, meditation, talk story, food and music, all on the grounds of the Turtle Bay Resort! Although there are multiple Wanderlust festival events that happen, this has go to be the best one because of this beautiful property on the North Shore. I went a few years ago with my bestie Meg and we had the best time! We enjoyed a talk story class that focused on intention, took an aerial yoga class outdoors, did acro-yoga with strangers, meditated in a tent out by the ocean and got our hair braided at an Aveda braid bar. There really is something for everyone and it's fun to be surrounded by people who are just as passionate about yoga as you! I found the instructors to be knowledgeable and it was fun to venture out and experience new modalities of yoga. In addition to a large variety of classes, they also have a large outdoor marketplace with a variety of food, drink and retail vendors. You can buy a 1, 2 or 3 day pass, and also add on extra events such as farm-to-table meals, live music, stand-up paddle yoga and more! The festival can definitely add up, so you don't have the funds to buy a ticket, you can also volunteer at the festival and get a free pass. Be forewarned that by the second day of Wanderlust, my body was really tired and sore as I usually don't do two plus classes a day. Also, many of the classes are outdoors so you'll really want to make sure you schedule your classes correctly so you don't end up with a crazy sunburn. My sister in law is a huge yogi, and she flew in from Canada just for this event. I was here because I got to volunteer with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, who are here giving info on marine debris. Everything is absolutely awesome, and I highly recommend coming out if you get a chance!!
