As a regular to this pub I have enjoyed many nights at the venue, however recently the management have become involved in Left wing politics and show full support to the LGBTQ+++ agenda. Whilst I have no problem with the LGB aspect of the movement, I have tried to explain the full meaning of the full LGBTQ alphabet and the detrimental impact on children to the managers Sion and Michelle, but despite this they have invited drag queens and ice creams vans to attract and entertain young kids during the day over the Ponty Pride weekend, they proudly display paintings on social media posts of pride paintings on the pub wall, many of these paintings were done at local primary schools without parents consent, that consent would not have been granted in these circumstances, they should take down the posts showing the kids paintings, and remove the paintings from their walls. Pubs are supposed to be a meeting place where people with different political opinions go to relax, the Pontardawe Inn is no longer politically impartial and I question whether it is a family friendly pub for all families, very disappointed and I won't be using it again. read more

Situated on a roundabout near the exit to Pontardawe, this is a pub which is part of the Marstons chain. It offers real ale i.e. Marstons Pedigree, Banks Original etc. and serves food from midday to 9 pm. The bar meals on average are £6 in price. Starters & Desserts can also be ordered and they are around the three to four pound mark. The establishment also does Sunday lunches. Quite a good menu selection, I tried the Sausage Casserole in Red Wine Sauce with bubble & squeak which was good value for money at a fiver & very enjoyable to taste. Both the clientele & staff are very friendly. Service here is of very high standard also. Decor is more tradtitional leanings with some modern touches here & there, place is very clean too. Fantastic pub. Lovely real ales and happy and friendly staff. Great spot in the summer with a lovely large beer garden and music often on to get your toes tapping ..... After a few beers, your toes will be tapping away like a good 'un. Great spot to watch the football too - if you are of that persuasion. The pub now as a more stable landlord who has improved the menu but also improved the selection of real ales, they have the standard pedigree and banks but there is always a guest ale worth trying. The decor is modern which is disappointing for such an old pub, would have liked old world with a real fire read more

This pub used to be the best in the area up until december 2010. Since then it has gone down hill rapidly, No food No live music anymore, the chances of getting served by someone more intoxicated than yourself high.Not a family pub anymore I certantly wont be going again until new owners take over. read more
