the pizza is consistently great, been coming here for a year now since I moved to Webster. But what makes this spot even better are the people who work here. I always feel like a welcome guest, family even. It's the little things they do that we just don't see in other place. The brief chit chat, the eye contact, that you are really welcome in the space. Called and had a medium pizza made in about 10 minutes for pickup! Absolutely delicious, we had cheese with cup and char pepperoni which they called "mini pepperoni". I haven't had their pizza since I was a little girl, it's so good. The pizza was more like the size of a very small pie and it was really expensive! I'm from Brooklyn and have been underwhelmed with the pizza choices in Rochester. Pontillo's makes a great pie and I'll definitely be back!

Good pizza and wings. Sauce and cheese out to the edge. Sliced all the way through. Wings were crispy and not to much sauce to hold.

This regional pizza chain appears to have many fans so I thought why not give it a try. I ordered a small pie with pepperoni and cheese. I must be too accustomed to nyc and ct pizza because the crust reminded me of a thick digiorno. They offered mini or regular pepperoni. I went with the mini based on the advise of the employee. She wasn't wrong. The mini pepperoni was delicious but couldn't save the entire pie. Should you enjoy a thicker crust, slightly sweet sauce, and standard mozzarella (not fresh); this pizza place may be up your alley. Stopped in for a quick bite with a client since we were in the area. The seating area is on the smaller side but there was no on else there when we arrived so we ordered a couple of slices. I asked for mine with two toppings listed on their menu and it came out as requested. The slice was huge, nearly twice the size of what you typically get, which, for the money, was a very good deal. The slice itself was pretty good. It had a bit too much sauce for me but other than that it was a decent slice of pizza. Only complaints are that drinks are available solely through a vending machine and they use paper towels instead of napkins. read more

Very good but not great pizza. I don't know what it is but I don't find this locations pizza quite as good as other Pontillo's. Their crust seems to be just a bit thinner and sauce a little sweeter, but still very good. Even when ordering well done a piece of pizza has a lot of "sag". Also their prices are a little higher then other locations. BUT their wings are still delicious and some of the best around. Had never been until now as we have some other favorites in Webster. Those places all closed by 9pm on a Saturday which is crazy. So Pontillos was open and we were jonesing for pizza and wings. The sweet sauce is amazing! My boys devoured it. Wings were perfectly crisp and well flavored. Breadsticks and mozzarella sticks were great too with a yummy marinara sauce. Will be ordering again! I've always loved Pontillo's Pizza. But I was very disturbed by the young woman who was working the counter. I showed up for pickup. She did not wear a mask until I questioned her. She was answering the phone, taking credit card payments, taking cash payments, and setting up pizza boxes on the counter. She then stood and picked her inch long artificial fingernails (I'm not exaggerating) and then went over and reached in the shredded cheese bin and sprinkled cheese on the pizzas that the cook was making. With her bare hand. I could not believe it! This has nothing to do with Covid. This is just poor sanitary/hygienic practices. I will not be back. I actually give this review zero stars. read more

This place is GREAT! I'm from Baltimore, but ended up eating here twice on a 7 day trip to Sotas Point. So yes, we made the long drive for this pizza TWICE! Being from NJ, I'm very picky about pizza, and Pontillo's definitely has some of the best-tasting pizza in Rochester! Pizza typical for Rochester; terrible. Thick, doughy crust lacking flavor and salt, watery sauce and a tasteless topping which, I believe, was supposed to be a form of mozzarella cheese. And $13 for this taste experience! Don't bother here. At least try one of the many 2 star Rochester pizzerias. I would recommend a 3, 4 or 5 star but have not found one here, yet.
