Kara is super sweet. It's very apparant how much she genuinely loves animals. My 8 year old chocolate lab, Rocky, has started having some anxiety issues. Chewing mini blinds, jumping through wondow screens (thankfully we live in a rancher!), and just being anxious when left alone. After several rounds of bloodwork, urinalysis, medications and replacement blinds, I finally reached out to Kara. While we're still working through his changes in behavior, he has shown some progress. Rocky just adores her. Kara will be taking over the grooming so Rocky can still get the bits of reinforcement. This is a revised review of my previous review which I deleted. In March of 2026 I called Pooches Pets and Pals because my 14 year old 75 lb dog Cami needed a bath. I explained she had multiple physical problems, arthritis, weak hind legs and nervous incontinence before we scheduled the visit. She also had severe anxiety issues and I decided a mobile groomer at home would be best. Kara said that she had a lot of difficulty getting it done, and would not be able to continue helping Cami, and tacked an additional $50 onto the bill which I paid. Unfortunately, it turned out that Cami had cancer and tumors on her spleen and is now deceased as of a few weeks ago. Perhaps if Cami had been a smaller dog, it would not have been such a difficult process to get done. read more

had Kara one time to bathe my puppy . she quoted me a price and then when she returned my puppy she charged me $25 extra because she was a puppy and was active. puppy did not look nor smell as if she had been bathed. Kara was rude and acted as if my puppy and I were an inconvenience She was not comfortable around my puppy( held dog away from her( dog was a 4 pound 16 week old Pomeranian.) Would never use her again. never again will I pay $125. for a bath only for a dog the size of my pup. . read more

Kara was so kind and patient with our 11.5 year old German shepherd. She went above and beyond and even groomed her outside in the (literal) 100 degree heat just to make it easy on her mobility. she is professional and really cares about animals. read more

So I've spent the past week looking for a mobile groomer. And I came across pooches, pets and pals here on Yelp. But I was hesitant because I saw a couple of bad reviews. So I did some more research on the company. And apparently on thumbtack, she has dozens of 5 star reviews, and after hearing her background, I was so impressed. I don't think I've ever met somebody that has the amount of eduction and training in every aspect of animal welfare. I asked her about those two bad reviews and she said that she will always put an animal's well being first even at the risk of a bad review because she doesn't tolerate the abuse of animal neglect or abuse of employees and she explained the two bad reviews was from standing up for the animal's abuse. I recommend her to anyone who has a dog to get them groomed by her because everything she says and do shows that she cares about her clients and their pets. read more

sooo helpful! my dog is typically very nervous and felt super comfortable while having her nails trimmed and ears cleaned! kara came to us and made everything super easy. she gave me some excellent advice and even left us a gift. i was shocked at the affordability too! it was an overall great experience and i will definitely be going to kara for services in the future! read more
