Families who started out supportive or who love Montessori often leave upset about issues with the administration and their choices and responses. Parents concerns about the environment or behavior that isn't controlled or learning that isn't happening or how kids are pushed in other non-academic ways so they will be "hearty" are often negated and families are strung along. In general the school over-promises and under-delivers time and again. Most students will be better off in a public school that is run well or at a private Montessori school (or other private school).

A new principal and several new teachers have joined the school this year. Lots of up campus field trips are planned. An all-school musical/play is done at the end of each school year. Kids can start extra-curricular activities at 4th grade. Piano lessons are offered starting at age 4. Affordable before and after daycare is available before 8am and after 3pm. Both pastors seem courteous and respectful although we don't know them that well. The new school building is truly a warm and wonderful place with top notch classrooms, a beautiful gym and lunch area. A digital white board in the kindergarten room shows a move toward technology-assisted learning. Holy Cross PTO is working provide additional technology in all classrooms for the future. We are happy to be part of this church school this fall. Having worked and been active in a number of churches I can assure all that no church is perfect.

Their entire staff is very friendly and they communicate well. The Director and/or Assistant Director are almost always there at pickup and drop-off to answer any questions and are very responsive via text message. They have good health and safety measures with temp/symptom checks upon arrival, digital & paper sign-in/out and each parent receives their own key fob to get into the building. We love that TLE has a set curriculum and that they have monthly and weekly themes to help our son learn and develop. They send out weekly emails, and provide calendars, with what our son will be specifically learning for the month/week and what fun activities (water play, special guests, painting, science experiments, etc) are scheduled. They keep us updated on the app with our son's meals, diaper changes, and naps and they provide numerous photos throughout the day. We're able to talk to his teacher at the end of each day to see how it went and they also hold regular parent-teacher conferences so we're able to understand how our son is learning and developing.
