Simply, drive in and join the long queue of cars, and when it's your turn, the men will gladly take your bag of cans and bottles and set them to another belt to count your collection. Then, your cash is given to you and you can happily drive off knowing you've done your part in keeping our earth just a little greener. With most recycle products capped at 10cents, you can expect some good cash for pocket money, piggy bank or treats. They're open 7 days per week, so come in and recycle as often as you can.

The Lions Club of Brighton volunteers are friendly and helpful and wander around in yellow and navy uniforms to pay and assist. Although most are quite a bit older than me, they're all fun and easy to talk to, always ready for a chit chat or a joke. They're good eggs. The sale operates for fundraising purposes for the club and the many charity and motivational programs that it runs. They can give change but I'd bring some. If you want some absolute steals then I suggest getting there as close to 9am as possible, as along with op-shop enthusiasts, antique/second-hand dealers also know about this sale and tend to get in right on the gate's opening. This place has a massive range of bric-a-brac, furniture, tools, books, records and clothes (see photos), so chances are if you are looking for something in particular it will be there, or show up one Sunday. Despite the place having everything, it also has a big turnover of goods/donations and each Sunday it'll have one of a kind items (the like of which you will not get elsewhere). It's not the place to consider buying something, it won't be there again when you go back. For example, Sunday a month ago I considered buying this giant Statue of David alcohol bottle and this Sunday looked, nope, not there. What was there this Sunday for me was a vintage chrome and formica sewing table for $5, a hat with a $250 tag still inside also for $5, and an amazing jacket that makes me look the business. I also bought a replacement guitar hero guitar for my brother which they've said if it doesn't work I can return to the bookshop on Thursday. On Thursdays during the week the Lions Club of Brighton run the bookshop portion of this sale. Some hard to find books are here and everything is labelled and in separate sections for easy browsing.

Oh yeah, what a thrill. There seems to be a little of everything in here and it would be great for crafters lookinbg fo ribbons, buttons and scraps of material to recycle / upcycle into a new life. If you're looking for clothes, you're definately going to have to get you're rummage on. I love that this is a collection of a few small rooms... prices are mid range op shop and a little inconsistent. All in all... not worth a day trip but poke your head in while you're in the area if this type of shopping interests you.

I liked this shop because it wasn't too big but there was a great range of items. Not heaps of trash like you find at some thrift stores. The shop was split into three rooms. The first room was full of random items; figurines, toys, old-school glasses (which make great cocktail glasses), a TV and other things. The second room there are heaps of books. I like buying books second hand because they are always ridiculously cheap and once you read something you rarely look at it again. They are also genuinely in good condition- well good enough condition to read. There was also random electronic equipment in here- such as a printer. I don't know about this, I have never heard of buying a printer from an op-shop! The last room was of course clothes. Purchasing clothes from an op-shop always involved a bit of a hunt. You are never guaranteed to walk into somewhere and find something amazing, but if you persevere you will find the goods! There was a quite good range in this shop- it was all clean and nothing was too tacky. I was also delighted to find a dress-up box, good clothes!

Additionally, they are located right next to Marcellina and Blockbuster is just in the next complex over - clean clothes, pasta, and dvds all in one trip.
