First we met her at their adoption event. We immediately feel in love with her. Then a member of their group brought her over to see if we were a fit. She was young and still biting so she loved to nibble and play. But I did not mind. The person who brought her told us what changes need to be made because she might run away. He also spent an hour and a half watching and learning if we would be a good fit for each other. He then proclaimed we could have her. Rosie is the sweetest dog that gives lots of kisses. She has grown to be a loving member of our family. If I ever want another animal, I would definitely use them again. Also, on the day we went to their adoption event, my kids saw some kids they knew from school. They had to give up their beloved dog because the new place they were moving to would not allow pets. This company match their pet with a new family. They are definitely looking out for their animal's welfare.

We met "Greyson" at the East Valley Shelter in Van Nuys and was scheduled to euthanized on 4/17 because of a condition called Enteopion, where the eyelids grow inward. So his lashes have been irritating his eyes his whole life. The surgery is expensive, we went home and did our research calling several Pitbull rescues. So many amazing people lead us to Mahkala, who is connected with PetSpace. We were then connected with Patricia was able to get the surgery approved, if we agreed to Foster to Adopt. She picked up Greyson from the pound and took him to get the surgery. We picked him up, and after 2 weeks of shepherding him through his healing, took him back to PetSpace to have his stitches removed. The only hiccups we've had was unclear communication at times. In dealing with several other folks via text, email, our valid and pertinent questions seemed to be more of an annoyance and not answering. "We don't have that info" or "It hasn't been updated in our system" were frequent answers to our inquiries pertain to the dog. The facility is wonderful, the store is pricy which was kind of surprising. I believe the people here know it's a special place. Grayson - now name Trueba is healing up, his hair is growing in post op and is a sweet 80+ pound squishy love that has a new lease on life.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed that one of the employees smelled strongly of alcohol and had a bit of an attitude and slurring . It was immediately noticeable and made me uncomfortable throughout my visit. I would ask her for help and would be completely dismissed. Customers should be able to expect a safe and professional environment, and this did not reflect those standards. The general manager is also questionable. On many visits.. He has shown no knowledge of product and when I asked him what he does when his dog has an upset stomach.. he said he pushes on their stomach to get rid of the gas and that's what I should do too. He gets VERY defensive if you question anything he tells you. He's been rude close to closing and will make you feel rushed while mopping an hour before closing. He's gone as far as asking me to "please hurry up. I want to go home" I've met him before at another store and he was equally unpleasant. I hope upper management addresses this issue since these are the welcoming faces as you enter the store. I'm not sure why Healthy Spot would even remotely want people like this working here. Especially seeing the downfall of this company. You would expect them to have employees that would make you want to come back.. not go to another pet store.

It's a truly special place with the perfect balance of active play and restful downtime. The free-range setup lets the dogs move between indoor and outdoor spaces as they please, giving them the flexibility to play, explore, or relax. Before we found this place, other daycares left my dog anxious and reactive. She'd come home barky, and at drop-off, she'd hesitate or pull away. But from the moment we started at SM Animal Kingdom, everything changed. She doesn't even look back when I drop her off now--she runs in, tail wagging, totally excited. And when I pick her up? She's calm, happy, and that perfect kind of tired that tells me her day was full of fun, play, and love. It's also helped her become incredibly socialized and comfortable around dogs of all sizes--especially big dogs, which used to be an issue. I don't know what their magic is, but I think it's just a genuine love and deep understanding of dogs that's helped her mature confidently within a positive pack setting. I feel the need to share my dissatisfaction and poor treatment by this rescue. In the end one of…read morethe dogs I tried to adopt was harmed, in addition to me and my son because of how they mishandled everything. It was only 48 hours before getting this dog that the foster parent, not the rescue, informed me she had a prolapse rectum. The shelter didn't even know. Outside of being told she had a small cataract in her left eye, was told nothing else was wrong. In fact, the owner said she was "perfect.". This dog had dental disease, severe scarring in both ears and eyes to where she had limited vision and hearing. She was not potty trained at all. She was also severely underweight and could not handle a walk more than about four houses down my street. I agreed to take her with the understanding she would get the prolapse surgery after I got her, paid for by the shelter. The owner continued to disagree with every vet that saw her to talk about the surgery. No vet wanted to operate on her because she was malnourished and it was unclear why she was not able to gain any weight. All three vets said she should go on a hydrolyzed protein diet. The owner of the shelter refused stating the only food I could feed her was farmers dog. Finally after two months, the owner said I could put her on hydrolyzed protein food and she started gaining some weight. She had to get an ultrasound before the hospital would agree to do the surgery at that point. It took six weeks for the shelter to connect with the hospital that did the ultrasound to talk about next steps for the surgery. By that point I had had this dog for over three months and was dealing with all of the stuff I mentioned above. Because of all that at some point, I decided I could not do it anymore. It was a very painful decision to make and the shelter, made it extremely hard for me in the end. They were difficult to communicate with. I agreed to just fly her back to LA myself and the plan then changed three different times. They said they would come get her on a certain day, then changed it to another day then I said I would just bring her like I had planned then they asked me to keep her until they could find a place for her even though they said they had a place for her to go. Long story short it was extremely hard. I will put pictures of the texts from the owner in the end, who told me to literally stop complaining. The amount of time and money I spent out of my own pocket on this dog was significant. I thought at least an apology would be given, when I asked for one, the worker at the shelter stayed silent on the phone. And then the owner told me to stop complaining as you can see in the text photos. I share this to warn other people about what you might go through if you try to adopt a dog through them.

I'm living on social security and don't receive any funds to take care of those animals and I am offended that you would suggest one of the dogs is going to be put down so donate to save lives of the others instead of focusing all the great things that you do which is reflected in the reviews of people who have worked with you. It appears that they have dedicated foster parents who help transition these pups from shelter life to permanent placement in their forever homes. They were very honest with us about the dog we were adopting struggles with timidness and fear. They sent someone to do a home visit and we had to do an initial foster to adopt agreement for 2 weeks. If all worked out fine for both Shelby and our family then we were cleared to adopt. Which we did last Thursday. Shelby has had all her initial shots, was spayed and treated for fleas when we adopted her. All we needed to do was provide the love. Done. I would highly recommend Wagging Dog Rescue to anyone who is considering adopting a new member of their family.

My one pause about boarding is that my dog is always smelly afterward, but here, they do their best to schedule the baths right before I pick up so my dog is clean and happy when we are reunited.
