Forever Exteriors bailed me out twice…read more.. They came out to give me an estimate and at no charge found a major leak in my roof and temporary repaired it and stopped it at no charge!! They went the extra mile unexpected when no one else did. Before they showed up it was very difficult to find anyone in northern Wisconsin to replace my roof on my home and my garage. Many contractors don't respond or very unreliable or little experience. Thier estimator was extremely personable and professional and was also the project manager which was easy to gain trust. Their proposal was very professional and took into account variables to be very reliable without hidden surprises. They beat the competition and with going the extra mile to temp repair my roof became an easy decision. The proposed date of work and completion promised became reality. Which is very hard to trust and find in northern Wisconsin. As an engineer, and managed many construction projects in my career, Forever Exteriors is a quality company that will give you a quality project within and affordable budget and on time. I strongly recommend this company and their services and have no affiliation. o believe in giving credit when due as well as criticism but have none for their performance. I have an ongoing bad experience with the Leaf Filter company of Eau Claire, WI. It was not clear…read moreto the installer what work was to be done but he came with the end covers and an 11 foot box of the 6" downspouts. I tried to contact the salesperson but could only leave a few messages that were never answered. The contract page I was given was only the 2nd or 3rd copy handwritten and difficult to read. Part of the contract was to seal the ends of the gutter with silicone but it had rained the night before and was still drizzling when the installer started work. I asked about applying the silicone on wet gutters but was ignored. he applied the filter over about 150 ft of gutters but said the end caps given him were white and not green. He said that I had to pay for the job now and he would return the next morning to apply the correct endcaps. He would then remove the endcaps and downspouts.Since I was to be gone, he would take photos and send them to me to prove the completion. After he left I checked the box of the endcaps and discovered that they were not white but green after all. He demanded that I pay him that day although the job was not completed. It stated in the contract that I had to pay the day of installation. He said that the company doesn't take credit cards - only cash or check. I had to give a check for the $4300 which was very overpriced. Over the last few weeks, I made multiple calls to the sales person, the local office and could only leave messages that were never returned. The 800 number only schedules appointments for sales. The job was never completed. I filed a complaint with the WI vulnerable adults, the Better Business bureau, discussed this as a crime to the Police Dept and am presently working with the State of Wisconsin Attorney General's Office. It appears that my case was not just an abberant case but an example of a company that has a system of scamming customers. Tim 8/31/24

It was thousands of dollars cut from first quote. I was so frustrated with this tactic. I hope they don't treat every possible customer this way. Myself I'm in the service industry and if I treated my customers this way I would be out a job in no time. In the end name your price that is what you pay is what I got out of it.

As part of the Altoona Hail storm in 2025, my home took some damage to the roof, one side of my…read morehouse, the face of the wall with the garage door, and the garage door itself. I got an initial estimate for work from them for $32K. That seemed steep, but since State Farm was footing all but $4K (my deductible), I moved forward with Rock & Tait. My wife had them fix something on her farm 15 years earlier and he was happy with their service. How times change. Over the course of the repairs the price kept climbing. (I have no real idea why.) But I worked with Rock and Tait and State Farm to get the gap covered. I turned over all the insurance checks to them and thought we had negotiated everything in good faith. The final tally, I believed was $38K. Yesterday they surprised me with an email with a bill attached stating I owed them another $11K. The siding portion of the bill went from $7K on the estimate to suddenly being $15.5K. That was for one side of my home, and the face of my garage (not a big area). The work took 4 hours and yet for some reason the bill went up 125% overnight without an explanation. The amount to the gutter replacement went up 35% without additional explanation. The cost of the garage door went up 25% without explanation. The roof, which was estimated at $15K went up to $22K. That is almost a 50% increase. I don't know why. Now they want $11K more when it sounds to me like I should be getting some money back for work that took 9 months to get complete. I would love to hear from other people in Altoona, WI who went with them for repairs in 2025-2026. It seems like most that I know of have a story like this. Gouging people at a time when they need help is simply disgusting and I hope someone looks into their business practices. BTW - we need a rating system that doesn't force you to give even 1 star to someone who treat people in need this way. Eric Berg 2/18/2026

Way overpriced there people are installers zero crafmanship. Everything we had them do was crap work and we had to have one employee removed from the project because he was getting mouthy with my wife. Here are couple issues out of many others we had. Didn't protect hardwood steps during wreckout Causing damage. Installed exterior door probably only 10% of door was adequately insulated only reason I discovered this is they put trim on backwards so I fixed it myself and discovered the deficiencies. New interior trim doors windows wow they couldn't get a tight miter they filled joints with a filler compound. And they back into are shed damaging rain gutter which they replaced but I just recently discovered they reused the roof hangers but on a bunch didn't reuse existing holes in steel leaving old holes exposed to water getting in roof. They where also supposed to replace all our concrete but we pulled that from them based on all the issues we had. This is a short list of many things that they got wrong. HORRIBLE COMPANY
