If I could give a negative rating I would. I haven't ever made a review on a food establishment but I was compelled to after this experience. We placed an order roughly 30mins or so mins before closing really simple order, a 12pc and 2 sides. We get to Popeyes and the lady just flat out refused to make our food even though we placed the order early and got there at a decent time. She said that "we only have 5 boneless and we are about to close" So my girlfriend asked if we can get a refund on a damn near $30 order and she said to do it through the app, TURNS OUT you can't. After you place your online order if pretty much finalized according to their policy EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE OUR FOOD. If you're feeling hungry and you want some fried chicken...go to KFC, this place has some better food but in regard to the fact that their service, staff, and building sucking ass it's really not worth the heartache honestly. I don't often order from the Jackson location but it is on my way home from work so several times a year we stop here. EVERY SINGLE TIME they have either gotten our order completely wrong or they forget things you've paid for. Last night, they forgot one of our sides and the red beans and rice was only a couple of tablespoons of rice with the beans so it was pretty much bean soup with a bit of rice. The mac and cheese we got (individual servings) was only half filled with a tiny bit of macaroni topped with burnt cheese. Like they scraped the empty pan and called it good. I couldn't eat it and gave it to my dog. Did not receive the order of fried pickles at all and the chicken strips were mostly breading. Come on, guys, do better. The food is ok, definitely the worst Popeyes I've had but it's still Popeyes and decent. The main reason it's getting two stars and the reason I don't plan on returning is the fact that they automatically large sized my order. That just really seemed wrong to me. When I asked why I got attitude and asked why I don't want it large. I have to admit this happened a couple months ago but I'm feeling like leaving it now as I stumbled across this place on yelp while leaving a review for another place. The prices are a little high for what you get. The chicken is good but the sides are about 1/3 the size of everyone else's you get about 2 bites worth. No problems with the service but they are going to have to increase the size of their sides if they want to compete with all the other chicken places within a 3 block radius. read more

Hello wow! really hungry tonight so I thought I would give Popeyes chicken in Jackson Michigan another shot to give up some good eats. What a huge disappointment again. I paid 24 dollars for 8 pieces of chicken and for that I got got 3 dried up thighs, 3 dried up legs, and 3 what appeared to be wings from a sparrow. Not a breast in sight as advertised on line. We ate what we could salvage from this disgusting dried up overpriced box of coating . This was my last attempt to at least get a decent meal from that nasty excuse for fried chicken. You should be ashamed of this rip-off job. I will tell as many people as possible that we gave your new business in Jackson a chance. I don't mind the money part, but when I pay 24 dollars for 8 pieces of chicken I at least expect to get a piece of white meat and don't insist that wings are the new breast. I typically go to the Popeyes in Dexter and have had great to-go food and service every single time. I learned about this one in Jackson and have been there twice, both via drive thru as well. The first time the chicken had been sitting too long when they served it to me. It was almost soggy and tough. I hoped it was a fluke. 2nd go round not much better. Chicken was a bit better but the service was disappointing. Not sure who the manager is but he/she are not doing a good job. I wont be back. read more

I went to the Jackson Popeyes. I they ran my card for someone else order plus my order. The manager said he took care of it but he didn't or didn't know how to fix it. I had to keep calling then I had to go up to Popeyes to get my money from them. And when I walked in no one greeted me and just looked at me then finally the store manager acknowledge me. He act pissed that he had to take the money out of the drawer. So everyone double check your bank accounts and Gentlemen had ask for my card twice when I went which made me feel something was up. read more

Give me a stale sandwich and I won't say anything. Do it again and I'll say something in a yelp review hoping management sees it. Today I got a spicy chicken sandwich with a hard lower bun, which indicates it sat in a warmer for too long. This was the second time this has happened... 2 or 3 months apart. Because of the first experience I had been going to KFC or McDonald's. KFC often runs out of chicken sandwiches. When that happens I head to Popeyes, a block away. I ordered biscuits a la Carte and a Classic Chicken sandwich combo, no pickles, mac & cheese, and a medium coca cola. I returned home to discover extra pickles on my sandwich, coleslaw instead of mac & cheese,, and a medium diet cola. Lets not forget there was not a single biscuit in the bag either.. Poor service! Waited in empty drive thru for 7min waiting to order, finally I asked if they were open, (2:30pm) a person did respond, very rudely told me to wait after I had been waiting. After waiting additional 2 minutes I left and went to the full Arby's drive thru and got my order in less time than I spent in Popeyes drive thru. read more

We were excited to hear that Jackson, Mi was finally getting a Popeyes chicken. We have always enjoyed getting chicken from their restaurants because of the flavor. Now that they are open, my son goes there pretty much every week and they're always out of spicy tenders. He has stopped by almost every week to buy spicy tenders, which is his favorite meal since they opened their doors and still to date, they don't have them available. Now, I find out that "Corporate" is no longer going to offer Cajun rice, because the supposed public doesn't want it. Not sure what public was asked, but I am not happy about it being removed from the menu. Plus, when I asked about it, the Jackson, Mi manager/owner in a blue shirt came to the window and had a snotty attitude about me inquiring about it. They never have spicy tenders, they are just here to capitalize on the Popeye's name without giving a damn about keeping the standards of the franchise. I could excuse it early on, but it's been months now and still no online ordering, no spicy tenders, orders constantly filled incorrectly and just bad service overall. Very disappointed the few times we've tried to visit. They have been out of items every single time. The drive thru staff is EXTREMELY rude. The frozen lemonade is good but it is too pricey. The drive thru line is set up very odd. Maybe once they open the inside of the restaurant that might help but the drive thru line, be prepared to wait in line at least 10-15 for food that may or may not (mostly not) be served warm. Didn't even get any food. We pulled into the drive thru, and a guy in street clothes smoking a cigarette stepped infront of us and said we couldn't enter. So we slowly entered while he kept waking in front of us, pushing on our truck. No uniform, name tag, never came up and calmly and nicely explained why he was stopping us from entering. He just started yelling and pushing our vehicle. After we made in through, he went inside to start pointing us out, staring us down and pointing us out to other employees. Needless to say we were worried he would have our food messed with so we left. Horrible experience and we travel for a living and have eaten at many other popeyes.
