If you like the thrill of driving high performance Porsche models on specialized tracks, expert instruction and the immersive atmosphere, then this experience may be for you. The experience involves driving Porsches like the 911 or Macan on challenging handling tracks, including specialized wet/slick surfaces for drifting. Plus, the experience in Leipzig, unlike the one in CA offers an off roading experience-- its like you are in a safari where you can take the car through water, steep inclines and at an angle all while seeing wildlife, like wild horses and ox.
The experience in Leipzig also offers tours, dining and a gift shop. Some experiences include tours- so you can see how your car is made on the floor. Plus, the upper floor of the welcome center offers fine dining and refreshments while watching cars at the racetrack. The food is good; the atmosphere is a bit industrial for my taste. The atmosphere at the Los Angeles location is more elegant. Lastly there is a small gift shop onsite, but unfortunately it only offers limited items specifically from the Leipzig site.
Note all of this experience comes with a hefty price. You can come to this to just experience the track. Or you experience the Porsche Experience Center by picking up your car there and then driving off into the sunset with it. I have been informed there is quite a wait list to pick up your car at this location and to have this limited experience.
So, at the price that Porsche offers for this experience- is it worth it? I think it all depends on what this experience means to you! To me, I felt it was just kind of a run of the mill experience-- too process orientated- just felt like they were checking the box-- not too unique. I would of like to spend more time on the track, more time with individual cars, and on the tour-- it would of been nice to spend some more time on the floor to dive deeper. I feel the overall price for this experience is too much for what you get. read more
