Stopped in on our way to Door County. 4ish on a Friday afternoon. Not much going on. Only two other customers in the bar. Restaurant was empty. This is our usual stop for a cold beverage on our trek up north. I always gave it rave reviews for food, service and prices. Not this time. Service was just OK. Not very friendly. We sat at a table in the bar. Ordered a couple of Sapphire and tonics. Drinks were pretty weak. The lack of stars is due to the price. $18.00 for 2 drinks. The look on my hubby's face when he got the bill was priceless. We're from Madison and that's the price for 2 Sapphire martinis locally. Less than an hour away is Sturgeon Bay. Same drinks were $6.00 at the bar we stopped at. Didn't look at a menu so cannot comment on the prices. read more

It's a decent seafood, lakeside restaurant. The food is decent and the environment is clean. When you sit to order there's a nice view of Lake Michigan. The service is decent as well as the friendly staff. The only downside to this restaurant is it is isolated in a small "fisherman" town, with not much else but little mom and pop stores and family owned businesses. The only attractions post restaurant interaction is either 30 miles west or 30 miles north; in either direction. So if you're willing to make a special visit to this secluded restaurant, it is worth it. read more

Ate here on the way home from Sturgeon Bay, smaller sized food menu, good craft beer selection, really nice deck to dine out on, service was a bit slow for 2 burgers- about 40 minutes to get our food. Prices are midline. No bargains except for their deserts which was 3.95 and delicious! I'd eat here again. read more

A group of us were in town for a fishing charter, we went out to eat on Thursday 6/7 around 700, Port O' Call wasn't very busy, but the food and service were both very good. Prices were reasonable and the view of the harbor was nice. I will be back for another visit. Would recommend stopping by for a good meal! read more

My experience wasn't bad enough to rate 1 star, but I definitely will not be returning here. Ever. I came in with my (now ex)boyfriend at the time, and we came in around 11:00 or so in the afternoon, looking for some lunch. We were seated in this god-awful gold plated room. Seriously: everything was gold. They should probably lay off the gold. Anyways: everything sounded good on the menu, but to my surprise there were only about four things they were offering for lunch, because everything else had to be saved for dinner. That's cool: I'm not a picky woman, I can make that work. I ordered a chicken caesar salad that was probably about $10 if not more. What showed up was pathetic. Like: I know it's a salad, but there should be enough there to at least somewhat sustain a mildly hungry person. It was a horrible portion. My (now ex)boyfriend's steak was not done right. It was waaaaay overcooked. We didn't want to say anything or be rude, considering we were the only ones there (AND I WONDER WHY), so we just ate, paid our check and left. Great they had outside seating on the lake front. Since we are in WI, I assumed they could make a good Old Fashioned. Don't bother, just mix and soda. No cherries or orange. Got the whitefish dinner, tasted bland and fishy. Then we go to pay, I am wearing a mask because I have two family members who are in the hospital with severe heath issues. Now I have to listen to the bartender make political jokes about my mask with out knowing my situation as I am signing my bill. Ridiculous and insensitive. No one asked you. During our 2 week stay in Kewaunee we visited this restaurant twice. We ate inside and enjoyed the view of Salmon Harbor. The stuffed pepper soup was one of our favorite items offered as a cup or bowl. We also had the Club sandwich and the Icelandic Cod sandwich, both which were excellent. I have to give this place a mixed review. Although the food was excellent, the service not so much. As soon as we arrived,(a party of 5 and a toddler) we asked for a high chair. When the waitress seated us we asked for a high chair. It wasn't until she came to take our drink order and we asked again did we get a high chair. There was about a 10 minute wait to get our drinks. I have to say this waitress appeared to be inexperienced and a little overwhelmed. I can't fault the establishment for that, everyone has to start somewhere. I do think asking for a highchair 3 times is poor service. We ordered a couple orders of the wings as appetizers. They were very good. We all ordered the Saturday prime rib special. Those that ordered salads for the first course were satisfied with them. My wife and I ordered 2 different soups. in each case the soup was bland albeit good tasting. Nothing a salt shaker couldn't take care of. We were not quite finished with the first course when the main course arrived. The prime ribs were perfectly cooked every one of them. They all had nice grill marks, very tender, and nicely seasoned. The chef really knows how to do prime rib. The sides were good and the portions generous. Over all it was a good experience and we will definitely be back. When the food is this good I am willing to overlook a few service missteps. But because of the highchair issue, I'll give them a 3 instead of 4 stars read more

3rd time I've been here and never had a problem. This time my friend and I ordered medium rare steaks. They came out hers medium well and mine well cooked. Gross. We told the waitress we were upset, she argued with us that is medium rare. So whatever, my friend sent hers away I took mine home for my dogs. Complained with the bartender also who really argued with us and had a fit when we wanted a discount. Said if anything they were undercooked. Horrible service. My husband and I brought family visiting from out of town here for supper on a Saturday night. It was our first time visiting here as well. When we walked in the place wad about 1/4 full. We asked for a high chair right away, before we were even seated. After we were seated, our waitress left to go the care of another table, we didn't have menus or our drink orders taken yet. She came back and took our drink order, in which we had to ask AGAIN for a high chair. It was about 5 minutes before we received our drinks. We ordered the chicken wings for an appetizer, very good. Everybody ordered the Saturday prime rib special. I ordered mine medium well, and it was grilled perfect, I didn't like the fat around the edges and felt it should have been trimmed, but loved the seasoning on the streak. I ordered the baby red potatoes as my side, they were cooked perfectly, but under seasoned for my taste. I ordered the beefey pot pie soup as well, the soup had good flavors but I needed to add salt and pepper. My expierence here was good. I gave it three stars due to the service and the fact we had to ask 3 times for a high chair ( which was dirty and had dried food in the seat). We will be back to try other things on the menu. read more

This was my first time at this place and I am super glad that they can be open during a time like this. Overall, the place was very clean. Everything was well wiped down and very clean. The wait staff was very friendly and did their best at providing the best experience. Our waitress was very friendly and always checking in on us to make sure that our food was good. Even while we were using the outdoor patio/eating area, she always made an effort to come check on us. As far as the food, everything was done the way that we wanted it. The steak was well done and loaded with onions and mushroom. As far as the pasta, you got a lot of shrimp/chicken. They added taste to the pasta. Without them, the pasta was a little plain. I would definitely come back to this place. You don't walk away hungry. read more

Can't believe we haven't tried this place earlier! First thing we noticed was the great outdoor eating area overlooking the lake. We had a few old fashioneds at the bar, which were very good, before picking our seat in the dining room in front the huge glass wall overlooking the lake. The dining room seating was slightly tiered so there really isn't a bad seat in the house. When you think of a restaurant on the lake, you'd assume the obvious choice would be fish but Saturday night special is the Grilled Prime rib. I'm not a fan of prime rib so I ordered the tenderloin which was cooked perfect and my husband got the grilled prime rib, which I had tried and ate about as much of his steak as my own. The flavor was amazing. The amount of mushrooms you get when you add them is ridiculous! The entire wait staff was very friendly and very attentive. What a great experience! The table next to us ordered the nachos, which is what I will have to try when we return. We highly recommend this place, worth the drive whether your in town, driving by or as your destination! read more

We love this restaurant in Kewaunee. Very nostalgic feel, spectacular views and the food has never disappointed. Favorite item is the pepper soup, always available, always hot and flavorful. Coleslaw was super creamy and crunchy, chicken breast sandwich made just right. Salads are always crisp and plentiful. Went there for the 1st time today was very confusing on the seating arrangement. Walked in and the bartender told us to set where ever we wanted and we ask if we could set outside and he said just grab a table so we walked outside and there was 1 table open but it was for 6 and there was just 2 of us we told the people behind us they could have it. We noticed that there was a table of 2 signing their bill so we were just waiting for that table when the waitress walked up and rudely said the patio is full and then just walked away not even willing to help us. They both tasted pretty good, We asked our waitress for little plates and finally got them when we were finished with our appetizers. I had the Reuben special which was okay. I was here with my husband on Friday, and the man behind the bar was talking nonsense the entire time! We stopped there on our way to door county for lunch. My husband and I had a chef salad. He had tomatoes and French dressing and I had no tomatoes and ranch dressing. Once we got to our destination my husband started feeling sick and had terrible stomach cramps. Went to walk in clinic and then had to take him to the hospital. He ended up having food poisoning.. Any place that has fresh fish caught just that morning from the lake is tops on my list of great restaurants, Especially if the fish dinner is huge and good, and at the Port O' Call servings are big. Sandwich wraps as big as your head that only a person with a giant appetite could possibly eat in one seating. Oh and did I mention this place is conveniently located in downtown Kewaunee right on lake Michigan, people dock their boats right at this restaurant. and almost every meal is priced under $15. Take this lake view and put closer to any larger city and the prices would be double and you might wake away not full. The portion sizes for the price and views get this place 5 stars from me. Less than expected. Chicken cordon blue bites were clearly a frozen product as was the Cod filet on the Cod sandwich. The bites were good tasting though, unforntunately the Cod wasn't. My favorite restaurant in Kewaunee. Right on the harbor with a great view of the boats coming in. Has great steaks and prime rib. My husband loves the seafood fettucini and the french onion soup too. Not really a kids restaurant but have brought my kids and they are always kind to them. In the summer the outside deck is great and ocassionally they have live music outside. read more

I prefer to leave favorable reviews but we were so disappointed with our dinner experience that I have to share. My husband ordered a porterhouse steak. It was good . I ordered the special, chili Verde chicken pasta. When it came all you could see, smell and taste was tomatoes. I told the waitress this wasn't what I was expecting, I thought Verde meant green. She said yes but that was their special. I asked if they had something to make it more flavorful like onions, garlic and cilantro. She said well I know we have onions. That's when I asked for the manager. He came over and politely told me that Verde was a Mexican or Spanish thing that it didn't really mean Green as far as this dish was concerned, that it was a combination of marinara and Alfredo. I asked if he could make it more tasty and he said he would. He brought it back with onions and cheese on it which was a big help but it still didn't have much flavor. They didn't have cracked pepper just very finely ground pepper. I took it home and doctored it up. It tasted much better after I got through with it. The service was mediocre at best. I would never go back here again. It gets a three because of the view and because the steak was good. read more

First time visiting but don't know if I'd come back. Husband had the tenderloin with mushrooms sandwich--that was OK, a little more done than the medium rare he ordered. I had the Seafood Alfredo that offered shrimp and scallops over linguine noodles for $15.95. 3 shrimp and 3 scallops served with a pound of linguine noodles and not much sauce--about 1/4 cup right in the middle. No flavor...not very impressed. The waitress was excellent, though, but never brought our water or second drinks. read more
