These ports along the Murray River really don't seem to be all that impressive, though I suspect that they have no doubt changed since the roaring trade that used to go up and down the river in the early days of Australia. Then again, Renmark is rather low lying, so the wharf itself is rather small, though it is also somewhat noticable. Of course, these days the paddlesteamers that cruise the rivers are really only for tourist purposes, and the old trade that used to come up and down here has long ceases.
