After leaving Rome, we took a private transporter to take us to the port to check in for our cruise ship cruise with Princess Cruises. It was about a 2 hour drive from Rome to Civitacecchia. There were a lot of roads in all directions but seemed like navigating on your own would not be difficult because there were many signs.
