While the items had all been stashed/gone/sold/melted/who knows what destroyed, the police officers made me feel that this case was important (I'm sure they had bigger things going on) and gave a thorough look into the case that night. In speaking to them on the phone, they were helpful, answered all my questions, and were genuinely sympathetic to my distress. While I"m still distraught - I really appreciate the officers sentiments and commitment to their jobs -- I'm sure its a very thankless career.

I got arrested for walking into the Fire 45 Grille restaurant owned by a family friend because one of the bartenders claimed I was coming after her. They held me in a cell for a week when I was supposed to be taking care of my dad. I got released on bail via video call with a Parma judge. I had to ask my kid sister and her boyfriend to pick up my car and take care of my dogs. Then I had to pay thousands of dollars for some smug attorney who made false promises and then joined the prosecutor in pressuring me into pleading guilty to a misdemeanor after they over charged it as a felony. I came to find out the cops in Ohio will pull people over in any suburb if you're anything other than Caucasian, especially in North Royalton. The black man I shared a cell with told me they arrested him over an unpaid traffic ticket. My dad died in hospice and I wasn't able to be there because of this. Recently my car broke down. The officers and staff were really helpful and offered several times to bring me to a hotel or anywhere else that I needed to go. One officer even recommended his mechanic/tow truck driver and called him for me. The police officers and staff were really helpful. I had to wait for my driver approximately 7 hours, but this department was very kind. I really appreciate it. They offered me coffee while I was waiting, and they checked in periodically to make sure that I was okay. They really helped and I'm thankful for their service.

Right inside the entrance, to the left, are plaques that honored those who fought to serve our country. There are 3 Higgins on that wall. My grandpa and his brother in WWII, and their father in WWI. There are other nifty historical tidbits in this old building turned police station. I like it.
