We went here on our first day. We had been trudging through the downtown trying to find good places to eat and chill, and when we finally found The Forks Market, it was a much needed solace from the both the summer heat and the quiet of downtown. We walked in and we were immediately amazed. This place has so much food variety, as expected from being a food market in Canada. I spied a pizza place, a Sri Lankan food spot, a taco store, and so much more. I could've spent my entire trip eating here as there were so many options. We tried the several spots: - From Habanero Sombrero, we tried three tacos: one shrimp, one fish, and one beef. They were all stellar. - We tried some Thai dumplings from an Asian spot and it was amazing. I've never had peanut flavoured sauce in dumplings before so it was a nice find! - We tried beverages from Fools and Horses. We enjoyed the drinks we got (I got a chai drink and a tea drink on multiple occasions). My boyfriend wasn't a fan of the matcha. The food here is all very affordable and there's a variety of savoury and sweet places if you wanted to get dessert after your meal. The upper floor mainly has shops (the lower floor has a few shops too, such as a candy store and a souvenir shop). The shops on the other hand are a little pricey for me but they do offer tons of goods that feel very Canadian/Winnipeg. There's a sitting place upstairs if you can't find a place to eat downstairs, or if you want to lounge around. I was overall very ecstatic to spend time in this market, so much so that I went again the following day. I would highly recommend this as a stop if you're ever in Winnipeg.

I suppose that it's kind of the norm at most outlet malls. Not all stores will give you heavily slashed prices on everything. I like that it's an indoor mall. You are protected from the elements when the temperature swings thirty degrees in either direction from zero. -30°C? You are safe from having your eyelashes freeze over. 30°C? It was what I had experienced while in the city. This mall was nicely air-conditioned and perfect to hibernate against hot, humid conditions. The mix of stores made me happy. Old Navy. GAP Factory. Winners. Claire's. Kernels - Baskin-Robbins. Skechers. Danier. Starbucks. Urban Treasures. Chatime. Lindt. I was perfectly content shopping at these places. Some are your regular businesses at any mall, such as Chatime and Starbucks. Winners has decent prices already. Old Navy, GAP Factory, and Lindt had deals that you'd expect from an outlet. The deals were fabulous. If you are a visitor, you can get a discount when you shop at various stores by dropping by Guest Services. The problem that I encountered was that they ask for ID. I dropped by to shop with a credit card and me. This woman at the counter would not accept photos of my driver's licence, both front and back, with my mugshot, on my phone. I didn't feel like grabbing my ID from the glove compartment of my rental vehicle and heading back to save maybe a couple of dollars on my great deals. Some stores are separate from the mall, but are still a part of it. Krispy Kreme is an example. I don't mind it because it has a drive-thru. There's also an IHOP, which is nice not doing a trip over the border to get your pancake fix. I spent my last full day in Winnipeg at this mall for a few hours. I enjoyed it. I used the washroom before I left. It was fancy and clean. There was plenty of parking. Each entrance is numbered, which is helpful. I look forward to returning to the city and dropping by this mall again. I'm glad that I can finally say that I've shopped here at long last. (330)

Maybe this review is influenced by the fact I've been to many other outlet malls that have more variety, but I definitely felt underwhelmed after shopping here. The location itself isn't very ideal, as the two major streets are high traffic, so getting here isn't exactly convenient. The mall bills itself as an outlet mall, but I honestly saw very few outlet prices. There were barely any sales or deals in all the places I went to. Definitely disappointing. The place is huge though, and the mall design is extremely open concept, plus the washrooms are really neat. That's about all the positives I can say unfortunately; Polo Park has better options in my opinion if you're looking for clothing.

However, returning to this city on vacation as a sentimental ex-Winnipegger, I hung out at this mall for seven hours. The mall person returned. It's still in me. I hadn't been to this mall since 2016, so it was worth the visit. It's a decent mall. It's a medium-sized one in that there's only one floor. Hudson's Bay (it has a Zellers!), London Drugs, Walmart, and Dollarama are your anchor stores. In 2016, I spent a lot of time and did a lot of damage at London Drugs. On this visit to the mall, I didn't visit any of these stores. I wanted to check out the other stores that I had missed. SilverCity, Hudson's Bay, Purdy's Chocolates, and Indigo were stores that I recognized. They have endured the test of time. I like them a lot. Everything else was new. I could picture the old HMV and Branigan's restaurant when you first enter mall entrance 3 and hit the food court. They are gone. The food court is still excellent. I had a late lunch at Koya Japan and my meal was excellent. I visited a bunch of stores that I had never been to at this mall. Miniso. SoftMoc. Sephora. Claire's. They are all cool stores that I enjoyed visiting and making some purchases. There is a lot of parking at this mall. It may get nuts during Boxing Day or week or month. I have never had any issues parking at this mall. This mall has an Earl's restaurant. I last dined there in 2016 and loved it. There's also Sushi Gozen by London Drugs that I'd like to try someday. I recently met up with a couple of friends here. We caught up over some Timmy's drinks and snacks. It was nice and a memorable, happy experience. It's a decent mall. There is a large selection of organic products and very large international foods area covering many ethnic groups. As a one-stop shopping store is complemented by a pharmacy, Liquor Mart, photo studio. Checkout is reasonably quick and staff are helpful in this busy environment. Pricing is average with many advanced specials. A good choice for weekly shopping!

I was recently at Plaza at Polo Park. I had just checked out the Winners-HomeSense combo store on…read morethe second floor. Next door was this Urban Behavior store. I decided to check it out. This store sits where the old Canad Inns Stadium (formerly Winnipeg Stadium) was. It's weird seeing this building and a huge P.F. Chang's nearby. This area is vast, and needs either more stores or housing, or both. My original intent was to find a washroom, hoping that any of these three stores had a washroom. I came close with Urban Behavior. There were washrooms in the back right of the store. However, if was blocked off with a sign that said that these washrooms were unavailable. I'm taking one star off for blocking off the washrooms. It seems ridiculous to search for a washroom elsewhere, especially when it's cold outside and you need to go. I briefly looked at the merchandise. I noticed that it had Forever 21 tops that were heavily reduced in price. It felt like an outlet, as prices were decent. There were Ugg knockoffs. Naturally, I didn't find any in my size because I have big feet for a woman. I liked the sweatpants and sweatshirts. They looked cozy and comfy. The accessories were practical and cute. I saw everything from toques to earmuffs. This store had a decent selection of graphic t-shirts for both men and women. I was impressed. I rarely go into an Urban Behavior store. It was nice to drop by this one to check out the discounts. Maybe someday, it'll open up the washrooms to the public. (493)

Chang's, the Asian-American restaurant chain that has made it up to Winnipeg. I had already eaten lunch. Had I known that P.F. Chang's was here, I would have tried it. I have never been to one in my life. This space is where Canad Inns Stadium (formerly Winnipeg Stadium) used to be. It's a bit weird to me, as I have fond memories seeing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Rolling Stones play at this venue. I feel that this space still needs development. I don't know if there are plans to develop housing here. It looks bare with two buildings on a huge plot of land. There was plenty of parking space when I got here. There were garbage receptacles by the main doors. When you go inside the building with Winners, HomeSense, and Urban Behavior, you have the option of using the escalator or elevator. I did the former. I visited the three aforementioned stores. There were some great deals. However, I was here to find a washroom. This entire building doesn't have one that is open to the public. I find a lack of public washrooms in a mall-like plaza to be annoying. It's likely less maintenance for these businesses. My advice is to use a washroom elsewhere before you shop here! (490)

GT will always have a soft spot in my heart, especially when I visit one in Winnipeg. My introduction to this franchise occurred when Winnipeg got its first store on Donald Street, at Ellice Avenue, when I lived in the city. It's still there! It was raining. I decided to hop in my rental vehicle and find a closer parking spot to the store. I didn't have an umbrella. I found a spot steps away and dashed into the store. It was Canada Day. I saw a lot of festive merchandise, from water bottles, to tank tops. I was sporting a Canada cap. It kept my head dry. I liked the clearance section. This store had a lot of great deals. With a brisk wind on the coolest day during my vacation, I needed something to keep me warm while taking in the Canada Day celebrations later on in the evening. I found a lightweight long-sleeved top with a floral pattern for $5. It was roomy to wear on top of my t-shirt and the sleeves were the perfect length. Such a steal! I was happy. I liked the bucket hats at this store. I was content with my cap that I didn't get one. The grocery section was great. I loved looking at bagged apples and lemons, and a variety of baked goods. I went to the beverages section. A six-pack of bottled Coke zero was on sale. Sold! This store had gigantic Squishmallows. They were cute, but one would fit my entire luggage if I didn't compress it down. At the checkout, I got Lawrence. He was competent and efficient. He asked me if I needed a bag. I declined and said that I was good. I paid with a credit card. My items were just over $10. Insane! I wore my long-sleeved top when I was taking in the Canada Day celebrations from roughly 6 pm till 9 pm in an open stadium. It kept me warm and it was comfy to wear. I liked shopping at this store.
