The saloon has a modern futuristic vibe going on with fancy round chairs that you would expect to find in Googles Head Office perhaps and some cool ceiling lights. The room screams FUTURE. The staff were friendly and I got in just at the right time because it was very quiet with only one other gentleman inside getting his hair done. The service was pretty good and I left pretty happy with my cut and colour and the price was the industry standard I would say. Overall I would come back if I was in the area and needed some more TLC.

Sister promptly gave it to me saying she wouldn't go back. Sister's experience was somewhat different to mine. Sister said the staff and ambiance was cold and uninviting. The colour and cut she got was good she just didn't feel that 'treat' feeling she gets usually from other hairdressers (said sister by the way gets her hair done every 6 weeks). After your complimentary drink they start off with a head-shoulder massage, followed by a relaxing hair wash while sitting on one of their fancy massage chairs. What I also find important is that they wash your hair again after they're done with the cut. I noticed that not many hairdressers actually do that here in Sydney and then you're left for the day with little hairs all over you. Moda Hair salon is seriously over-priced. They offer a range of options including extensions, straightening, highlights and your standard cut/colour/blow dry. Each one will leave a deep dent in your wallet, and a twinge of regret in your mind. Moda's pricing scheme also baffles me. I understand the child/ adult price range you encounter in most places (e.g. adult haircut= $20, child haircut= $10). But Moda's child/ teenager/ adult price differences seem a little weird. This pricing scheme means a cut, colour and blow-dry with cost $85 for teenagers, and $98 for adults. As well as the steep prices, service is slow, and employees often seem totally uninterested in what they're doing. Moda Hair does not offer the superior services their prices suggest. They should either lower their prices, or increase the quality of their services.
