I really love this nursery as I grew up near here, and remember when it was Jeibmann's Greenhouse. (I also played on Jeibmann's little league baseball team back in the early 80'). So it's a bit sentimental. They have really done a job job with fixing that place up! The inside has some nice stone work instead of walking on the pea gravel. They have the best variety! The only thing is you will be paying top dollar, so don't come broke. Thought I would buy a banana plant this spring, when no one had them. They had one left. I paid $149 for it, and I was even wondering if it was gonna make it. A month later they had a nicer one at Home Depot for $37.00! Like I said, I bought when no one had them. Everyone there has been really friendly, and I love their selection of pots for my indoor potted plants.

Be sure to check out their "unusual fruits"section. It is really great!

The Division Street location of Portland nursery is really good. The only things that keep it from getting five stars are its comparatively smaller size than the Stark Street location, its smaller "main" parking lot, and the gravel overflow lot making it really perilous to push your wagons or carts across due to the uneven level and tendency to shake the daylights out of the plants on said wagons or carts. The staff is really friendly, the selection is great, the plants all appear to be in perfect health. Pricing on some items seems really high, while others seem really low. Portland Nursery is definitely worth a visit.

I love this nursery because of their selection and expertise but today my advocacy for the brand grew even more. In a conversation with "Libby" I asked why the Red Rooster grass plants I bought have died and showed her a picture. Her response was to bring them in and they'd be happy to exchange them for new ones. I did so later in the day and am SO thankful for her and their customer service. Thank you! I'm now even a bigger fan!

One of the best! I get lost in here for hours looking at all the different plants. Amazing selection of indoor and outdoor plants.

Really nice spot, with lots of parking. There is tons and tons of plants, all throughout the store. All of the employees are super helpful, always asking if there's anything that you need help with or had questions about anything. Prices are ok, we went when they had a 30% sale on houseplants, so that definitely helped the price. A wide arrangement of pots as well, but they seem pretty overpriced. Perhaps I just don't know how much pots usually run for, I mean how many times in a year do you actually have to buy a new pots. On a whole, definitely recommend this spot. A little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Great covered nursery! Each section is divided by light category which is super handy for beginners. Good variety of plants with both small and big pot options.

Disappointing stock this year in annuals. Especially the veggies! Their orders aren't getting enough in.

What a great little but mighty plant nursery in S.E. Portland Oregon…read more I used to live in this neighborhood and it has many hidden gems. Birds and Bees Nursery is one of them. I'm a member of Carnivorous Plants Society of Oregon and one of my things is finding places that sell Carnivorous Plants outside of the big box stores. Sure the big Home store has plenty of Venus Flytraps every year but it's a cruel thing to see a plant abused by employees who don't know how to care for such a plant. First of all this plant has 2. basic needs. 1. All the direct sunlight it can get. At least 12 hours a day. 2. Distilled Water or Rain water. To see this plant living inside the store on a shelf dries out is a difficult thing to see. If it is watered, Tap Water us what it's given. Tap water is a for sure slow death to a Venus Flytrap Plant. So in my search, I found a little nursery in the burbs. Next to a Taco Smell restaurant, full of all sorts of plants from vines to carnivorous plants. In my interest, they had Sundews, Picture Plants and a ton of Venus Flytraps all sitting in the full sun. I found what I thought was a good specimen and when I picked up and looked at the Venus Flytrap I wanted, I realized it was actually 3 small and one slightly larger Venus Flytrap plants in the same pot for (I'm pretty sure in right. I was so excited to find such an awesome plant that I kinda forgot and the receipt wasn't helpful.) $15.00. They're usually about $10.00 for a common Venus Flytrap plant. I basically bought 4 plants for $3.75 a piece. With such great prices, my wife found a couple plants she couldn't leave without. We both left Birds and Bees happy. Update on our plants. They're all thriving in their new home.

It took me far too long to visit this delightful women-owned shoppe, but now that I have I will add it to my shortlist of Portland favorites. First off, the owners couldn't have picked a more appropriate setting for a plant shoppe. With a classic storefront with window displays on both sides of the entrance, the store takes on a nostalgic vibe of tradesperson shops of yesteryear. I love knowing I'm shopping small, locally owned businesses that make our communities vibrant and diverse. Now let's get to the plants... that's the reason we're here! There's quite a diverse selection of houseplants in such a small space... indeed, something for everyone. If you need to pop in quickly for a "Get Well" card and a miniature pot of African Violets, they've got it. If specialty plants are more your thing, you'll find everything from the sought after Monstera cultivars, cacti and succulents, to Anthurium and Begonias. In fact, given their regular delivery schedule, it sounds like they can special order pretty much anything you might need. I spent 15 minutes or so getting to know Kailia, one of the owners who is also a registered horticultural therapist. She's very friendly, knowledgeable, and a delightful addition to the neighborhood. She made a clumsy oaf like me feel extremely at ease in her adorable shoppe. Be sure to check out their very informative website, LarkspurPortland.com for lots of valuable resources, information on Horticultural Therapy, and a pretty good impression of the types of plants the have in stock. I'm a fan, and I'll continue coming back!

Daphne's Botanicals was the only one to get back to me at all, and it was a prompt reply AND they followed up via email. They do offer a reporting service! For only five dollars! And they give you 10% off any pots you buy in the store, if you don't want to bring your own. This is a lifesaver for me, as I've learned to keep plants alive but historically repotting has not gone so well. I took in an incredibly long pothos that I got for free. The team at Daphne's Botanicals shared my excitement about the plant, welcomed me into the store, and quickly started on the repotting. I didn't have a pot but they gave a recommendation and I love how it turned out. While there, I browsed their product shelves and plants. It's a pretty small store, but their plants look happy and they've got some really cute planters and what they say is a really excellent plant food. They're also attached to a bakery so you can grab a little bite as well. Highly recommend this woman owned spot!
